Round 1: With the first color, make a magic ring. Chain 3 (counts as first double crochet, dc), work 2 dc into the ring, chain 2. Work 3 dc into the ring, chain 2 three more times. Join with a slip stitch (sl st) to the top of the starting chain 3. Fasten off.
Round 2: Join the second color in any chain-2 space. Chain 3 (counts as first dc), work 2 dc, chain 2, and 3 dc into the same space. In the next chain-2 space, work 3 dc, chain 2, 3 dc. Repeat from * to * around. Join with a sl st to the top of the starting chain 3. Fasten off.
