• 2.5 mm or 3.0 mm crochet hook
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Safety eyes (8-10 mm)
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch marker
• Scissors

LEGS (make 2 – in brown, then red for shoes)

1. Start with red (shoe color): MR, 6 sc [6]
2. inc around [12]
3. sc around [12]
4. Switch to brown (skin color), BLO: sc around [12]
   5–10. sc around [12]
   – Stuff legs
   – Fasten off one leg. On the second leg, don’t fasten off. Chain 2 and join to the first leg to start the body if you prefer seamless construction. If not, sew both to bottom of body.

ARMS (make 2 – in brown)

1. MR, 6 sc [6]
2. (sc, inc) x3 [9]
   3–10. sc around [9]
   – Slightly stuff only the bottom part
   – Flatten and sew to sides of the body.

HAIR (black)

Make many tight corkscrew curls:

Curl:

1. Ch 20
2. 3 sc in each chain across (this will curl automatically)
   – Make ~20–25 curls and sew each to the head in rows, starting from the back and working forward.

For the front row, position them as bangs or loops. Optional: add a red bow or flower.

DRESS (in red and white)

Top of Dress:

1. Attach red yarn to the body (around row 13 of the body), FLO
2. sc around [24–30 sts depending on round]
   3–5. sc around
3. Fasten off and weave in ends

Skirt (worked in FLO of round 6 of the body):

1. Join red yarn, ch 2, hdc in each stitch around
2. In next round: (hdc, dc) in each stitch
3. Optionally add a ruffled layer with more dc or add white flower shapes

White Flowers (optional decoration):

• MR, (ch 2, sl st) x5
• Sew onto the skirt

4. Fasten off and glue/sew to the feet

Assembly:

1. Sew head to body
2. Sew arms to body
3. Attach hair
4. Add dress details and shoes
5. Embroider smile with black thread
6. Add optional bow or flower to hair
