Materials

• Sport weight cotton yarn in Blue, White, Yellow, and scraps of Red and Black
• 2.5 mm crochet hook
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Tapestry needle
• Keychain ring with chain

Abbreviations

• ch – chain
• sc – single crochet
• inc – increase
• dec – decrease
• st(s) – stitch/stitches
• sl st – slip stitch
• MR – magic ring

Instructions

Fuselage (Body of the Plane):

Start with Blue yarn.

• Round 1: 6 sc in MR [6]
• Round 2: [inc] x 6 [12]
• Round 3: [sc, inc] x 6 [18]
• Round 4: [2 sc, inc] x 6 [24]

Switch to White yarn.

• Round 5-9: sc in each st around [24]

Switch to Blue yarn.

• Round 10-15: sc in each st around [24]
• Round 16: [2 sc, dec] x 6 [18]
• Round 17-18: sc in each st around [18]
• Start stuffing the body firmly with fiberfill.
• Round 19: [sc, dec] x 6 [12]
• Round 20-21: sc in each st around [12]
• Round 22: [dec] x 6 [6]

Fasten off, weave in the end to close the opening.

Propeller (Yellow):

• In a Magic Ring, repeat the following 3 times to make a 3-blade propeller: [ch 3, sl st in the 2nd ch from hook, sc in the next ch, sl st into the magic ring].
• Pull the ring tight and fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing to the front nose of the plane.

Wings (Make 2 – Blue):

• Round 1: 6 sc in MR [6]
• Round 2: [inc] x 6 [12]
• Round 3-8: sc in each st around [12]
• Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Do not stuff. Flatten the wings and sew them symmetrically to both sides of the fuselage.

Tail Fins (Make 3 – Blue):

• Round 1: 4 sc in MR [4]
• Round 2: [sc, inc] x 2 [6]
• Round 3-4: sc in each st around [6]
• Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Flatten and sew to the rear of the plane (one vertically on top, and two horizontally on each side).

Assembly and Details:

• Using black yarn, embroider two rectangular cockpit windows on the white section of the fuselage.
• Using red yarn, embroider small decorative accents on the sides or bottom of the fuselage.
• Attach the keychain metal ring securely to the top center of the fuselage where the white and blue sections meet.
