Materials

• Embroidery floss or lace weight yarn (Size 80 or 100) in Light Green, Terracotta Orange, Dark Brown, Light Blue, Beige, and scraps of Pink and Dark Green
• 0.6mm or 0.75mm crochet hook (or adjust hook size to match your yarn weight)
• Two 4mm black safety eyes
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Fine wire for structural support
• Miniature white tulle/mesh for the dome
• Keychain ring with clasp

Terracotta Garden Base (Terracotta Orange):

• The base is worked in a semi-circle flat piece for the floor, and a semi-circle vertical piece for the backdrop.
• Floor: Row 1: 6 sc in MR, do not join. Ch 1, turn. Row 2: inc in each st (12). Row 3: [sc, inc] x6 (18). Row 4: [2 sc, inc] x6 (24). Row 5: [3 sc, inc] x6 (30). Row 6: [4 sc, inc] x6 (36). Fasten off.
• Backdrop: Repeat the floor instructions, but continue for 2 more rows to make it slightly taller. Stiffen the backdrop with fabric stiffener or wire inside the edge. Sew the floor and backdrop together along the flat edges to form a 3D corner.

Assembly & Miniature Details:

• Sew the alien to the right side of the terracotta base.
• Embroider a small smile on the alien’s face using black sewing thread.
• Craft a tiny apron using beige yarn (ch 5, work 4 rows of sc, add ties) and sew it onto the alien’s torso.
• Use dark brown yarn to embroider a flat dirt patch on the left side of the floor. Stitch tiny green chains to represent sprouts and pink French knots for flowers.
• Create the mesh dome by cutting a small circle of tulle, forming a dome shape, and securing it over the plant patch using a thin wire frame.
• Attach a keychain ring to the top of the terracotta backdrop.
