Materials

• Fingering or sport weight yarn in Cream, Bright Blue, Light Brown, Light Blue, and Dark Blue
• 2.25 mm crochet hook
• Two 4mm black safety eyes
• Black embroidery floss for the smile

Instructions

Head and Body (Worked as one piece starting from the head, in Cream):

Round 1: Work 6 sc in MR (6)

Round 2: inc in each st around (12)

Round 3: [sc, inc] x6 (18)

Round 4: [2 sc, inc] x6 (24)

Rounds 5-9: sc in each st around (24)

Insert safety eyes between rounds 7 and 8, leaving about 4 stitches in between. Embroider a small smile centered below the eyes using black thread.

Round 10: [2 sc, dec] x6 (18)

Round 11: [sc, dec] x6 (12) – Stuff the head firmly with fiberfill.

Round 12: dec x6 (6)

Round 13 (Body): inc in each st around (12)

Now we create the strands: [Ch 12, start in 2nd ch from hook, hdc 11 down the chain, sl st to the next base stitch of the hair cap] x16. Fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew the cap onto the head. Arrange the curls to frame the face beautifully, secure with pins, and sew in place.

Tiny Water Jug (in Light Brown):

Fasten off, leaving a tail to attach to the body. To create a handle, attach yarn at the rim of the jug, chain 4, and sl st to the bottom side of the jug.

Assembly & Finishing Touches:

To make the flowing water, cut 4 small strands of Light Blue yarn (about 3 inches long). Fold them in half, pull the folded loop through the opening of the water jug, and pull the tails through the loop to create a small tassel. Trim to the desired length. Sew the jug under the doll’s left arm. Tie a simple belt around the waist using Dark Blue yarn. Attach the metal keychain ring firmly to the top of the doll’s hair cap.
