Axolotl Head & Body:

Using Light Pink yarn, start with a magic ring. This part will be sewn inside the teapot.

• Rnd 4: [sc 2, inc] x 6 (24)

• Rnds 8-15: sc around (42)
• Insert safety eyes between Rnds 11 and 12, about 8 stitches apart. Embroider a tiny smile between the eyes using black floss.

• Rnds 19-24 (Body extension): sc around (24). Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Sew this body cylinder securely inside the teapot so only the head and chest peek out.

Gills (Make 6):

Using Light Pink yarn, sew three small fringed loops on each side of the head. For a fluffy effect, brush the pink yarn ends gently with a wire brush or clean pet brush before attaching.

Teapot Handle:

Using Light Pink yarn, ch 18. Row 1: sc in second ch from hook and each ch across. Row 2: ch 1, turn, sc across. Fold in half and sew together to create a sturdy tube. Sew the handle to the side of the teapot.

Teapot Spout:

Using Light Pink yarn, start with a magic ring.

• Rnd 6: Change to Pastel Blue. sc around (10). Fasten off and sew to the opposite side of the teapot from the handle.

Teapot Lid Hat:

Start with Pastel Blue for the knob. Rnd 1: 5 sc in magic ring. Rnd 2: sc around. Change to Light Pink. Rnd 3: [inc] x 5 (10). Rnd 4: [sc 1, inc] x 5 (15). Rnd 5: [sc 2, inc] x 5 (20). Rnd 6: [sc 3, inc] x 5 (25). Change to Pastel Blue. Rnd 7: Working in FLO, sl st around to create a flat brim. Embroider tiny flowers onto the pink section of the lid, then sew or pin securely on top of the axolotl’s head.
