Materials

• Sport weight cotton yarn in Pale Pink and White
• 2.0 mm (US B/1) crochet hook
• Keychain ring with chain
• Small white satin ribbon (approx. 1/8 inch wide)
• Yarn needle and scissors
• Fabric glue or sewing needle and thread

Abbreviations

• ch – chain
• sc – single crochet
• hdc – half double crochet
• sl st – slip stitch
• st(s) – stitch(es)
• inc – increase (2 sc in the same stitch)
• dec – decrease (sc 2 stitches together)
• BLO – back loops only

Instructions

Sole:

Using Pale Pink yarn, chain 10.

Round 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 7 ch, 3 sc in the last ch. Working along the opposite side of the chain: sc in next 7 ch, inc in the last ch. (20 sts)

Round 2: Inc in first st, sc in next 7 sts, hdc in next st, inc in next 3 sts, hdc in next st, sc in next 6 sts, inc in last st. (25 sts)

Sides of Slipper:

Round 3: Working in BLO (Back Loops Only), sc in each st around. (25 sts)

Round 4 – 5: Working in both loops, sc in each st around. (25 sts)

Toe Shaping:

Round 6: Sc in next 10 sts, dec 4 times (across the front toe area), sc in next 7 sts. (21 sts)

Round 7: Sc in next 9 sts, dec 3 times, sc in next 6 sts. (18 sts)

Fasten off pink yarn and weave in the ends.

White Rim:

Join White yarn at the center back heel of the slipper.

Round 8: Slip stitch loosely in each stitch around the entire opening of the slipper. Fasten off and weave in all yarn tails.

Assembly & Finishing:

Tie a small neat bow with the white satin ribbon. Use fabric glue or a needle and thread to securely attach the bow to the toe of the ballet slipper. Attach your keychain ring securely to the back heel stitch of the slipper.
