Straps (Make 2)

Using Chunky Speckled Brown Yarn.

• Cut 6 long strands of yarn (each about 3-4 times the desired strap length). Braid three strands together for each strap.
• Alternatively, you can crochet straps: Ch 60-70 (or desired length), then sc in 2nd ch from hook and across. Repeat for 3-4 rows. FO.

Assembly

1. Attach Bear Face: Secure black safety eyes onto the Front Panel, positioning them above where the snout will go.
2. Sew the small Dark Brown Nose onto the center of the Light Beige Snout.
3. Sew the Snout onto the center of the Front Panel, slightly below the eyes.
4. Attach Ears: Fold each ear flat. Sew the Ears to the top corners of the Front Panel.
5. Attach Front Pocket: Insert the small zipper into the opening of the Front Pocket. Sew the pocket to the lower front of the Main Backpack Body, ensuring the zipper is functional.
6. Assemble Backpack: With the Main Backpack Body turned inside out, sew the Front Panel to the Main Body, leaving an opening at the top for the main zipper.
7. Insert the main zipper into the top opening of the backpack and sew it securely in place.
8. Attach Straps: Sew one end of each braided strap to the top back of the Main Backpack Body, near the zipper. Sew the other end of each strap to the bottom back corners of the Main Backpack Body, forming the backpack straps. Adjust length as desired before fully securing.
9. Weave in all remaining ends.
