Materials

• Sport weight yarn (size 2) in Beige (skin), Light Brown (hair), White (lab coat), Royal Blue (scrub top/bag), Dark Gray (pants), Black (shoes), and Red (cross detail)

• 6 mm safety eyes
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Keychain ring with chain link
• Tapestry needle and embroidery floss (black and pink)
• Small heart button or charm for details

Instructions

Head:

Using Beige yarn.

• R6-12: sc in each st around (30)
• Insert 6mm safety eyes between rows 9 and 10, about 5 sts apart. Embroider nose, eyelashes, and a small smile. Blush the cheeks.

Legs & Body:

Lab Coat:

Using White yarn. Worked in rows.

• Row 1: ch 15, turn.

• Row 4: 3 sc, ch 4 (skip 4 sts for armholes), 7 sc, ch 4 (skip 4 sts), 3 sc, ch 1, turn (21)
• Row 5-12: sc in each st across, ch 1, turn (21)
• For sleeves: Join white yarn in the armholes and work 6 rounds of 6 sc. Fasten off.
• Place coat on the doll and sew a tiny heart charm onto the lapel.

Medical Bag:

Using Royal Blue yarn.

• Row 1: ch 6.
• Row 2: starting in 2nd ch, 5 sc, ch 1, turn.
• Row 3-8: 5 sc, ch 1, turn.
• Fold in half and join sides with sl st to form a small basket/cube shape. Stuff lightly.
• Sew a tiny handle on top with blue yarn.
• Using Red embroidery thread, embroider a small cross on the front.

Assembly:

• Sew the head securely onto the body.
• Attach the hair cap onto the head.
• Fit the lab coat over the doll. Sew the doctor’s hands (beige yarn, 4 sc in MR, attached to sleeves) into the coat sleeves.
• Use blue and grey embroidery thread around the neck to form the stethoscope.
• Securely sew the medical bag to one of the doll’s hands.
• Attach a keychain ring firmly to the top of the doll’s head. Your crochet doctor is now complete!
