Head: Using Forest Green yarn. Stuff as you go.

• Insert 6mm safety eyes between rounds 8 and 9, about 6 sts apart.

Muzzle: Using Forest Green yarn.

Horns (Make 2): Using Cream yarn.

Ears (Make 2): Using Forest Green yarn.

• Ch 4, in 2nd ch from hook: 1 sc, 1 hdc, (1 dc, ch 2, sl st in 2nd ch, 1 dc) in last chain. Turn to other side: 1 hdc, 1 sc. Fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew to the head near the horns.

Wings (Make 2): Using Forest Green yarn (with Light Green highlights if desired).

• Row 2: 3 sc, dec, ch 1, turn (4)
• Row 3: 4 sc, ch 3, turn (4)

Tail: Using Forest Green yarn.

• Rnd 7-12: sc in each st around (10). Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Sew to the lower back of the body.

Spines: Using Mustard Yellow yarn. Join yarn at the top of the head between the horns and crochet down to the tail tip: (ch 3, sl st in next stitch) repeatedly along the spine line.

Miniature Library Book:

• Pages (Cream): Ch 6, work 5 rows of 5 sc. Fold in half.
• Cover (Tan): Ch 8, work 6 rows of 7 sc. Wrap around pages and sew together along the spine. Embroider ‘LIBRARY’ on the front cover using black embroidery floss.

Assembly: Sew the head to the body. Attach ears, horns, wings, and tail. Sew the arms and legs onto the sides so that the dragon appears sitting down, holding the miniature book in its lap. Securely attach the keychain ring to the top of the head.
