Materials

• Lace weight or fingering weight yarn in White, Turquoise, Pastel Pink, Pastel Yellow, Orange, Blue, and Black

Instructions

Duck Head & Body (Yellow Yarn):

Rnd 1: MR 6 sc (6)

Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)

Rnd 3: [sc, inc] * 6 (18)

Rnd 4-7: sc around (18)

Rnd 8: [sc, dec] * 6 (12). Attach 3mm safety eyes between Rnds 5-6, 4 stitches apart. Stuff the head firmly.

Rnd 9: [dec] * 6 (6)

Rnd 10 (Body): 6 inc (12)

Rnd 12-14: sc around (18)

Beak (Orange Yarn):

Ch 3, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next. Sew to head between the eyes.

Hat (Blue Yarn):

Rnd 1: MR 5 sc (5)

Rnd 2: 5 inc (10)

Rnd 3: FLO, [sc, inc] around. Fasten off and sew to the duck’s head.

Ice Cream Truck (White & Turquoise Yarn):

The truck is worked in sections to form a rectangular box. Start with White yarn for the roof and upper body, making chains and single crocheting in rows. Create rectangular side panels while leaving 3-stitch wide open windows on each side. Once the upper body is formed, sew the panels together and stuff lightly, leaving space in the cabin for the duck driver.

Switch to Turquoise yarn to crochet a 3-round border around the bottom edges of the truck to create the lower stripe detailing.

Wheels (Make 4 – Black and White Yarn):

With White yarn, MR 5 sc, sl st to join. Switch to Black yarn, 5 inc (10). Fasten off, leaving a tail. Sew two wheels to each side of the truck.

Awning & Details:

Using pastel pink, yellow, and blue yarns, stitch a small ruffled awning above the side window. Embroider the word ‘ICE CREAM’ on the side panel using pink embroidery floss. Place the yellow duck inside the front window cabin and secure with stitches. Finally, attach a sturdy white crochet loop to the roof of the truck and slide it onto your keychain ring.
