Materials

• Light green, denim blue, brown, red, yellow, and pink sport weight yarn
• 2.0 mm crochet hook
• 5mm safety eyes
• Black embroidery thread

Instructions

Head and Body (Green and Blue):

Using green yarn:

• Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
• Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)
• Rnd 3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
• Rnd 4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
• Rnd 5: (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30)
• Rnd 6-11: sc around (30)

Insert safety eyes between Rnds 7 and 8, leaving 5 stitches in between. Embroider a tiny V-shaped mouth centered below the eyes and add small pink blush stitches just below each eye.

Change to denim blue yarn:

• Rnd 12-14: sc around (30)

Now, split the work to create two legs:

• Rnd 15: Skip 15 stitches, sc in the remaining 15 stitches to form the first leg loop.
• Rnd 16: sc around (15). Stuff the body and leg firmly.
• Rnd 17: (1 sc, dec) x 5 (10). Fasten off, weave the tail to close. Reattach blue yarn to the other side and repeat for the second leg.

Overalls Bib and Straps (Blue):

Watering Can (Red):

Using red yarn:

• Rnd 1: 5 sc in MR (5)
• Rnd 2: 5 inc (10)
• Rnd 3-5: sc around (10). Stuff lightly.
• Rnd 6: dec around (5). Fasten off.
• To make the handle, attach yarn to the side, chain 4, and connect it to the bottom. For the spout, attach yarn to the front side and chain 2.

Yellow Flower Accent (Yellow):

Using yellow yarn, in a Magic Ring, crochet: (ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st) x 5 to create five petals. Pull the ring tight, fasten off, and sew onto the overalls bib.

Assembly:

Sew the hat securely onto the top of the frog’s head. Attach the miniature watering can to one of the frog’s hands (made by crocheting a chain of 4 with green yarn and sewing it to the side). Finally, secure the keychain ring to the top center of the hat, passing through the head stitches for a sturdy hold.
