Materials

• DK weight yarn in Sage Green
• Metallic gold embroidery thread or lace-weight gold yarn

Instructions

Head and Body (Worked as one continuous piece):

• Rnd 1: Start with Sage Green yarn and 2.5mm hook. Work 6 sc in a MR (6)

• Rnd 4: [2 sc, inc] x6 (24)
• Rnd 5: [3 sc, inc] x6 (30)
• Rnd 6-12: sc in each st around (30)

• Rnd 14: [2 sc, dec] x6 (18)
• Start stuffing the head firmly. Place safety eyes between Rounds 9 and 10, leaving about 5 stitches between them.

Golden Crown:

• Rnd 1: Using gold thread and 1.5mm hook, ch 15. Join with a sl st to the first ch to form a loop (15)

• Rnd 3: [sc in next st, ch 3, sl st in the 3rd ch from hook (picot), sc in next st, sl st in next st] repeat 5 times to create the 5 peaks of the crown.
• Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Sew small white pearls onto the peaks of the crown, then sew the crown securely to the top of the frog’s head.

Final Assembly:

• Using black embroidery floss, stitch a cute, gently curved ‘V’ mouth on the center of the face between the eyes.
