Materials

• Lace weight yarn or embroidery floss in Light Green, Yellow, Dark Green, Blue, and White
• 1.25 mm crochet hook
• 4 mm black safety eyes
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Keychain ring and jump ring
• Yarn needle and scissors

Instructions

Teacup:

Using blue yarn:

• Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR [6]
• Rnd 2: inc in each st around [12]
• Rnd 3: [sc, inc] x 6 [18]
• Rnd 4: [2 sc, inc] x 6 [24]
• Rnd 5: [3 sc, inc] x 6 [30]
• Rnd 6: BLO sc around [30]
• Rnds 7-12: sc around [30]
• Rnd 13: [3 sc, dec] x 6 [24]

Fasten off, weaving in ends. Embroider white polka dots using white yarn. For the cup handle, join blue yarn to the side, ch 10, turn, sc back down the chain, and sew both ends to the side of the cup.

Dragon Head:

Using light green yarn:

• Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR [6]
• Rnd 2: inc in each st around [12]
• Rnd 3: [sc, inc] x 6 [18]
• Rnd 4: [2 sc, inc] x 6 [24]
• Rnds 5-9: sc around [24]
• Insert safety eyes between Rnds 7 and 8, leaving about 4 stitches in between.
• Rnd 10: [2 sc, dec] x 6 [18]
• Rnd 11: [sc, dec] x 6 [12]
• Stuff the head firmly with fiberfill.
• Rnd 12: dec around [6]

Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Snout:

Using light green yarn:

• Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR [6]
• Rnd 2: [sc, inc] x 3 [9]

Fasten off, leaving a tail. Sew the snout onto the head just between and slightly below the eyes.

Dragon Body & Belly:

Using light green yarn:

• Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR [6]
• Rnd 2: inc in each st around [12]
• Rnd 3: [sc, inc] x 6 [18]
• Rnds 4-7: sc around [18]
• Rnd 8: [sc, dec] x 6 [12]

Stuff the body and sew it to the head. Crochet a small yellow oval for the belly patch (ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc, 3 sc in last ch, rotate and work down other side: sc, inc. Sew this patch to the front of the body.

Horns, Spikes & Wings:

Horns (Make 2): Using yellow yarn, ch 3, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next. Sew onto the head.

Spikes: Using dark green yarn, attach yarn to top of the head and work down the back: [ch 2, sl st in next stitch] along the center line to create tiny ridges.

Wings (Make 2): Using blue yarn, ch 5, turn, sc in 2nd ch, hdc in next, dc in next, tr in last. Sew to the back of the dragon.

Assembly: Nest the dragon inside the teacup and sew it securely in place. Attach the keychain ring to the top of the dragon’s head.
