Materials

• DK weight yarn in light brown, cream, red, yellow, blue, green, and orange
• 2.25 mm crochet hook
• 6 mm safety eyes
• Thin craft wire (approx. 6 inches)
• Black embroidery floss
• Polyester fiberfill stuffing
• Keychain ring and chain link
• Yarn needle and scissors

Instructions

Head (Brown Yarn):

• R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
• R2: 6 inc (12)
• R3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
• R4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
• R5: (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30)
• R6-11: sc in each st around (30)
• R12: (3 sc, dec) x 6 (24)
• R13: (2 sc, dec) x 6 (18)
• Insert safety eyes between R8 and R9, about 5 sts apart. Stuff with fiberfill.
• R14: (1 sc, dec) x 6 (12)
• Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Muzzle (Cream Yarn):

• R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
• R2: 6 inc (12)
• R3: sc around (12). Fasten off. Sew to the head below the eyes, stuffing lightly. Embroider nose and mouth.

Ears (Make 2, Brown Yarn):

• Leg 2: Repeat Leg 1, but do not fasten off. Ch 2, join to Leg 1 with a sc.
• Body: R5: 9 sc around Leg 1, 2 sc in ch-2, 9 sc around Leg 2, 2 sc in remaining side of ch-2 (22)
• R6-11: sc around (22)
• R12: (9 sc, dec) x 2 (20)
• R13: (3 sc, dec) x 4 (16)
• R14: (2 sc, dec) x 4 (12). Stuff firmly. Fasten off.

Arms (Make 2, Brown Yarn):

• R1: 5 sc in MR (5)
• R2-6: sc around (5). Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing. Sew to sides of the body below the collar.

Clown Collar (Red & Yellow Yarn):

• With Red: Ch 16, join with sl st to form a ring.
• R1: Ch 2, 3 dc in each chain around. Join to first dc with sl st.
• Switch to Yellow: R2: sc in each st around. Fasten off and weave in ends. Place collar around the neck before sewing the head to the body.

Party Hat (Red Yarn):

• R1: 4 sc in MR (4)

• R5: sc around (10). Fasten off. Add a tiny blue pompom to the top and yellow embroidery accents. Sew to head.

Juggling Balls (Make 5 in Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, and Orange):

• R2: 5 inc (10)
• R3: sc around (10)
• R4: 5 dec (5). Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Assembly & Juggling Arch:

• Sew the head to the body over the collar.
• Shape a thin craft wire into a semi-circle arch. Thread the wire through the five juggling balls, spacing them evenly. Secure each ball with a dot of fabric glue if necessary.
• Insert the ends of the wire into the bear’s hands (arms), wrapping the arm yarn tails around the wire to secure the connection firmly.
• Attach a keychain ring to the top of the party hat or head.
