Materials

• Lace weight yarn or embroidery floss in White, Light Grey, and Black
• 1.0mm or 1.25mm crochet hook
• Fiberfill stuffing
• 4 small light-colored wooden or plastic beads (for propeller mounts)
• Tiny red and green beads (for navigation lights)
• Metal keychain ring with chain
• Yarn needle, sewing needle, and thread

Instructions

This micro-amigurumi drone is worked in tight, neat stitches. Use a sewing needle and regular thread to attach the tiny beads for the lights and propeller mounts.

Main Drone Body:

Using white yarn:

• Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
• Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)
• Rnd 3: [1 sc, inc] x 6 (18)
• Rnd 4: [2 sc, inc] x 6 (24)
• Rnds 5-7: sc in each st around (24)
• Switch to Light Grey yarn.
• Rnd 8: sc in each st around (24)
• Rnd 9: [2 sc, dec] x 6 (18)
• Start stuffing the body firmly with fiberfill.
• Rnd 10: [1 sc, dec] x 6 (12)
• Rnd 11: 6 dec (6)
• Fasten off, weave the tail through the remaining 6 stitches to close, and hide the thread.

Camera Lens (Front of Drone):

Using Black yarn:

• Rnd 1: 5 sc in MR, sl st to first st. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
• Position the camera lens onto the lower front of the drone body (intersecting the white and grey halves) and sew in place. Outline the black circle with a few straight stitches of light grey yarn to define the lens rim.

Drone Arms (Make 4):

Using Light Grey yarn:

• Row 1: Ch 5, starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each of the 4 chains (4)
• Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
• Sew the 4 arms symmetrically to the grey lower half of the body, pointing diagonally outwards.

Propellers (Make 4):

Using White yarn:

• Row 1: Ch 4, sl st into the 1st ch (creating a loop), ch 4, sl st again into the same 1st ch (creating a second loop).
• Fasten off and sew securely onto the top of each wooden bead.

Assembly & Details:

• Propeller Attachment: Thread a piece of light grey yarn through the small wooden bead. Secure the wooden bead to the end of each grey arm, then sew the white propeller loops directly to the top of each bead.
• Navigation Lights: Sew a tiny red bead underneath the two left-side arm tips, and a green bead underneath the two right-side arm tips to mimic real aviation lights.
• Landing Gear: Attach white yarn to the underside of the body next to each arm base. Ch 3, sl st back down the chain. Secure to the body to form small, sturdy landing pegs.
• Keychain: Attach your metal keychain loop securely to the top-center white part of the drone’s body.
