Materials

• Lace weight yarn or size 10 crochet thread in Tan, Dark Brown, Grey, Yellow, Red, Black, and White
• 1.0 mm crochet hook
• Two 2mm black safety eyes or beads
• Polyester fiberfill stuffing
• Plastic canvas or stiff cardboard for structural support
• Fabric glue and fine black embroidery floss
• Tapestry needle and scissors

Instructions

Note: This pattern requires a steady hand and tight tension. Pieces are worked in continuous spirals unless specified otherwise.

Part 1: The Platform Base

Using Grey yarn, chain 31.

• Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (30 sc)
• Rows 2-25: Ch 1, sc across, turn. (30 sc)
• Row 26 (Yellow Platform Edge): Join Yellow yarn. Working in BLO around the entire perimeter of the grey rectangle, sc in each stitch around, making 3 sc in the corner stitches. Fasten off and weave in ends.
• Cut a piece of plastic canvas slightly smaller than the base and insert/glue it inside the base to keep it perfectly flat and rigid.

Part 2: Mini Bison

Head & Body (Start with Tan):

• Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
• Rnd 2: inc in each st around. (12)
• Rnd 3: (sc, inc) x 6. (18)
• Rnds 4-6: sc around. (18)
• Change to Dark Brown yarn. To create the fluffy hump texture, work the next rounds in a textured stitch (such as loop stitch or a mini bobble stitch in every second stitch).
• Rnds 7-13: Textured sc around. (18)
• Insert safety eyes between rounds 4 and 5, about 6 stitches apart. Stuff the body firmly.
• Rnd 14: (sc, dec) x 6. (12)
• Rnd 15: dec x 6. (6) Fasten off, weave in ends, and close opening.

Bison Legs (Make 4):

• Using Tan yarn, 6 sc in MR.
• Rnds 1-4: sc around. (6) Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew legs to the bottom of the body.

Horns (Make 2):

• Using Light Beige/Tan yarn, ch 4, sl st back down the chain. Sew to the top of the head.

Part 3: The Station Building

The building is made by crocheting flat rectangular panels using Tan yarn, stiffening them with plastic canvas, and sewing them together.

• Front and Back Panels (Make 2): Ch 16, sc 12 rows. On the 13th row, decrease at the start and end of each row to form a triangular roof gable.
• Side Panels (Make 2): Ch 10, sc 12 rows.
• Roof Panels (Make 2 in Dark Brown): Ch 18, sc 10 rows.
• Assemble the building walls around a custom-cut cardboard cube structure. Sew the roof panels on top, allowing for a slight overhang. Embroider the white windows, door, and clock details onto the panels before final assembly. Place all elements onto the grey platform base and secure with glue or neat stitches.
