Materials

• Worsted weight yarn in Light Green (for head/ears)
• Worsted weight yarn in Dark Brown (for sole/cuff)

Instructions

Bootie Sole (Make 2 – starting with Dark Brown yarn)

• Ch 12.
• Round 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 9 ch, 4 sc in last ch. Turn to work along the other side of the chain. Sc in next 9 ch, 2 sc in last ch. Join with sl st to first sc. (26 sts)
• Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 9 sts, 2 sc in next 4 sts, sc in next 9 sts, 2 sc in next 2 sts. Join with sl st to first sc. (34 sts)
• Round 3: Ch 1, sc around. Join with sl st to first sc. (34 sts) FO Dark Brown yarn.

Bootie Body (Join Light Beige/Tan yarn)

• Round 4: Join Light Beige/Tan yarn to the back of the bootie. Ch 1, working in the BLO, sc around. Join with sl st to first sc. (34 sts)
• Round 5-7: Ch 1, sc around. Join with sl st to first sc. (34 sts for 3 rounds)

Green ‘Head’ Section (Join Light Green yarn)

• Round 8: Join Light Green yarn. Ch 1, sc in first 10 sts. (Sc2tog) 7 times. Sc in remaining 10 sts. Join with sl st to first sc. (27 sts)
• Round 9: Ch 1, sc in first 8 sts. (Sc2tog) 5 times. Sc in remaining 9 sts. Join with sl st to first sc. (22 sts)

White ‘Robe’ Detail (White yarn)

• Ch 10. FO, leaving tails for sewing.
• Position this chain across the front of the Light Beige section (around Rounds 5-6), shaping it to resemble the criss-cross robe ties. Sew securely in place with the yarn tails.

Assembly

• Using the long tails, sew the ears securely to each side of the green ‘head’ section, positioning them slightly behind the eyes.
• Weave in all remaining loose ends securely.
