Side Panels (Make 2):

Using Color A, ch 6.

Bag Assembly:

Lay the Chevron Panel flat with the RS facing up. The 20 rows form the length. Identify the sections: Rows 1-6 (Front of bag), Rows 7-8 (Bottom of bag), Rows 9-14 (Back of bag), Rows 15-20 (Flap).
Attach Squares: With Color C, sc the two completed motifs to the ‘Front of bag’ section (Rows 1-6) of the Chevron Panel. The motifs should be side by side and centered horizontally. Sew securely.

Attach Buckle: Thread one end of the belt through the wooden O-ring buckle. Fold the end over about 2 inches and securely sew it to itself using a yarn needle and matching yarn.
Attach to Bag: Center the finished bag on the belt. Securely sew the top edge of the bag (where the front and back meet) to the belt, ensuring it’s firmly attached and doesn’t sag. Reinforce stitching for durability.

Tassels (Make 4):

Wrap Color B yarn around a 3-inch piece of cardboard or your hand (3-4 fingers) about 40 times.
Cut a 6-inch length of yarn, thread it under the wrapped yarn at one end, and tie a tight knot to secure the top.
Cut the loops at the opposite end.
Cut another 6-inch length of yarn. About 1/2 inch from the top knot, wrap this piece tightly around the tassel multiple times to create the ‘head’ and tie a secure knot. Trim excess ends neatly.
Use the long tail from the top knot to attach the tassels to the lower outer corners of the front square motifs.
