Materials

• Sport weight cotton yarn in Beige/Cream, Dark Brown, Light Grey, and a small scrap of Black and Red
• 2.0 mm crochet hook
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Keychain ring with link chain
• Embroidery needle and black thread
• Yarn needle and scissors

Abbreviations

• MR – Magic Ring
• ch – Chain
• sc – Single Crochet
• inc – Increase (2 sc in one stitch)
• dec – Decrease (sc 2 stitches together)
• BLO – Back Loop Only
• sl st – Slip Stitch
• st – Stitch

Instructions

Note: Work in continuous spirals unless specified otherwise. Stuff firmly as you go.

1. Main Machine Stand & Column:

Using Cream yarn (starting from the base):

• Ch 8. Starting in 2nd ch from hook: 6 sc, 3 sc in last chain. Turn to work on the opposite side of the chain: 5 sc, inc (16 sts).
• Rnd 2: inc, 5 sc, [inc] x 3, 5 sc, [inc] x 2 (22 sts).
• Rnd 3: In BLO, sc around (22 sts). Join Dark Brown yarn.
• Rnd 4: Working in both loops, sc around with Dark Brown (22 sts).
• Rnd 5: Switch back to Cream. In BLO, sc around (22 sts).
• Rnd 6-7: sc around (22 sts).
• Now, we form the vertical back column. Leave 12 stitches unworked for the front carafe space, and work only across 10 stitches in back-and-forth rows to create the vertical column.
• Row 8-19: ch 1, turn, 10 sc (10 sts).
• At Row 20, ch 12 and join to the other side of the column to create the upper hood loop.
• Rnd 21: Work 22 sc around the top loop to close the upper hood.
• Rnd 22: In BLO, [dec, 1 sc] around. Stuff the column and base firmly. Fasten off and sew the top opening closed with Cream yarn.

2. Top Lid:

Using Dark Brown yarn:

• Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
• Rnd 2: [inc] around (12)
• Rnd 3: [1 sc, inc] around (18)
• Rnd 4: [2 sc, inc] around (24)
• Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Sew the lid onto the top cream hood of the machine.

3. Filter Basket:

Using Dark Brown yarn:

• Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
• Rnd 2: [inc] around (12)
• Rnd 3: [1 sc, inc] around (18)
• Rnd 4-6: sc around (18)
• Fasten off. Sew the filter basket directly under the top brown lid, attached to the vertical cream column.

4. Coffee Carafe (Pot):

Using Dark Brown yarn (coffee layer):

• Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
• Rnd 2: [inc] around (12)
• Rnd 3: In BLO, sc around (12)
• Switch to Light Grey yarn:
• Rnd 4-7: sc around (12)
• Rnd 8: [dec] around (6). Stuff lightly and sew closed.
• Handle: Using Dark Brown, ch 6. Sew to the side of the grey pot.
• Embroidery: Using black thread, embroider the word “Coffee” across the front of the grey carafe. Sew the completed carafe into the base slot under the filter basket.

5. Details & Assembly:

• Embroider a thin black vertical line on the right side of the column for the water level indicator, adding a couple of tiny horizontal hash marks.
• Using a tiny scrap of red yarn or thread, make a French knot near the bottom right to act as the power indicator light.
• With black yarn, embroider a tiny rectangular ‘ON/OFF’ switch button next to the light.
• Securely attach the keychain ring through the center of the dark brown top lid.
