Crochet Pattern: Buzzing Bee Crochet Bracelet Free Pattern: Wearable Amigurumi

Materials

• Sport weight cotton yarn in Cream, Bright Yellow, Black, and White
• 2.0 mm (US B/1) crochet hook
• Small round wooden button (approx. 15mm)
• Polyester fiberfill stuffing
• Yarn needle and scissors
• Black embroidery thread (for antennae and eyes)

• sc – single crochet
• hdc – half double crochet
• inc – increase (2 sc in one stitch)
• dec – decrease (sc 2 together)
• sl st – slip stitch
• st(s) – stitch(es)
• Rnd – Round

Instructions

Step 1: The Bracelet Band

Using Cream yarn:

• Row 1: Ch 6. Starting in the second chain from the hook, sc in each ch across. Turn. (5 sts)
• Row 2 – 45 (or until it fits comfortably around your wrist): Ch 1, sc in each st across. Turn. (5 sts)
• Do not fasten off. To make the loop: Ch 10 (test size around your button), sl st to the opposite side of the band’s final row to form a secure loop. Fasten off and weave in ends.
• On the opposite end of the band, sew your wooden button securely using yellow or cream yarn.

Step 2: Tiny Bumblebees (Make 3)

Using Yellow yarn:

• Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring. (6 sts)
• Rnd 2: [sc, inc] x 3. (9 sts)
• Change to Black yarn.
• Rnd 3: sc in each st around. (9 sts)
• Change to Yellow yarn.
• Rnd 4: sc in each st around. (9 sts)
• Change to Black yarn.
• Rnd 5: sc in each st around. (9 sts)
• Lightly stuff the body with a small pinch of polyester fiberfill.
• Change to Yellow yarn.
• Rnd 6: [sc, dec] x 3. (6 sts)
• Fasten off, weave the tail through the remaining stitches, pull tight to close, and hide the yarn tail inside the bee’s body.

Step 3: Bee Wings (Make 2 per bee)

Using White yarn:

• Rnd 1: In a magic ring, ch 2, work 4 hdc, ch 2, sl st into the center of the ring. Pull the ring tight. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Step 4: Assembly and Finishing

• Sew two white wings to the top center of each bee’s back.
• Using black embroidery thread, sew two tiny French knots for eyes on the front yellow section of the bee, or embroider small lines.
• For the antennae, tie a knot at the end of a short piece of black thread, thread it from the inside of the head out, and secure it with another knot to create two tiny antennae.
• Space the three bees evenly along the center of the cream bracelet band and sew them securely in place.
