Captain America Crochet Baby Shoes Pattern

Finished Size: Fits babies 0-6 months (adjustable)

Materials Needed:

• Yarn: Worsted weight yarn in blue (main), red (soles & accents), white (details), and white embroidery thread for the star
• Hook: 3.5 mm crochet hook
• Needle: Tapestry needle for sewing
• Scissors
• Stitch Marker
• Small buttons for strap (optional)

Abbreviations (US Terms):

• MR – Magic ring
• SC – Single crochet
• HDC – Half double crochet
• DC – Double crochet
• INC – Increase (2 SC in the same stitch)
• DEC – Decrease (SC2tog)
• Sl st – Slip stitch
• Ch – Chain
• FO – Fasten off

Sole (Make 2 – Red Yarn)

1. Ch 9, SC in 2nd ch from hook, SC in next 6 ch, 5 SC in last ch. Continue on the opposite side, SC in next 6 ch, 2 SC in last ch (19)
2. INC, SC 6, INC 5, SC 6, INC 2 (26)

Upper Shoe (Blue Yarn)

Attach yarn to the back of the sole.

Strap (White Yarn)

1. Ch 10, SC in 2nd ch from hook and across (9)
2. Ch 1, turn, SC in each stitch (9)
   FO, leaving a tail. Sew across the top of the shoe. Optionally, attach a button for decoration.

Shield Decoration (Make 2 – Red, White, and Blue Yarn)

With red:

   Change to white:

   Change to blue:

   FO, leaving a tail.

Star (White Embroidery Thread)

Using white thread, embroider a small star at the center of the shield decoration. Sew the shield to the outer side of each shoe.

Assembly Instructions:

1. Sew the white strap across the top of each shoe.
2. Attach the shield decoration to the outer side.
3. Make sure all threads are secure and neatly tucked.
