Materials

• Worsted weight yarn in Red (approx. 50g)
• Worsted weight yarn in White (approx. 20g)
• 2.5mm or 3.0mm crochet hook (or size suitable for your yarn)
• Two 6mm black safety eyes
• Polyester fiberfill for stuffing
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

Head & Body (Start with Red yarn)

• R1: 6 sc in a Magic Ring (6)
• R2: Inc in each st around (12)
• R3: (sc, inc) x6 (18)
• R4: (2 sc, inc) x6 (24)
• R5: (3 sc, inc) x6 (30)
• R6-R9: Sc in each st around (30)
• Insert 6mm safety eyes between R7 and R8, about 6-7 stitches apart.
• R10: (3 sc, dec) x6 (24)
• R11: (2 sc, dec) x6 (18)
• Stuff head firmly.
• Switch to White yarn.
• R12: Sc in each st around (18)
• Switch to Red yarn.
• R13: Sc in each st around (18)

Claws (Make 2, Red yarn)

• R7: (dec) x6 (6)
• Stuff lightly. FO, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Legs (Make 6, Red yarn)

• Ch 6. Sl st into the 2nd ch from hook, and then into the next 4 ch. (5 sl sts total)
• FO, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Antennae (Make 2, Red yarn)

• Ch 12. Sl st into the 2nd ch from hook, and then into the next 10 ch. (11 sl sts total)
• FO, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Assembly

• Using your yarn needle, sew the two claws to the sides of the lobster’s head, just behind the white stripe.
• Attach the 6 legs to the underside of the body, arranging them evenly behind the claws.
• Sew the two antennae to the top of the head, above the eyes.
• Weave in all remaining loose ends securely.
