Crochet Pattern: Christmas Eeyore Amigurumi

Materials

• Worsted weight yarn in: Light Blue (main body), Cream (snout), Dark Purple (inner ears), Black (mane, embroidery), Red (sweater, hat), White (sweater trim, hat trim, pompom), Green (ribbon).
• Crochet Hook: E/4 (3.5mm) or F/5 (3.75mm)
• Safety Eyes: 8-10mm (black)
• Polyester fiberfill for stuffing
• Tapestry needle

Instructions

Head (Light Blue Yarn)

R1: MR, 6 sc [6]

R2: 6 inc [12]

R3: (sc, inc) x 6 [18]

R4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 [24]

R5: (3 sc, inc) x 6 [30]

R6: (4 sc, inc) x 6 [36]

R7-13: sc around (7 rounds) [36]

R14: (4 sc, dec) x 6 [30]

R15: (3 sc, dec) x 6 [24]

Insert safety eyes between R10 and R11, approximately 6-7 stitches apart. Begin stuffing firmly.

R16: (2 sc, dec) x 6 [18]

R17: (sc, dec) x 6 [12]

FO, leaving a long tail. Weave the tail through the remaining 6 stitches and pull to close the opening. Weave in end.

Snout (Cream Yarn)

R1: Ch 5. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, 3 sc in last ch. Continue on other side of ch: sc in next 2 ch, 2 sc in last ch [10]

R2: inc, sc in next 2, 3 inc, sc in next 2, 2 inc [16]

R3-4: sc around (2 rounds) [16]

Sl st, FO, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff lightly. Using black yarn, embroider a vertical line for the mouth and two small horizontal lines for nostrils on the snout.

Ears (Make 2 sets – Dark Purple and Light Blue Yarn)

Inner Ear (Dark Purple):

Ch 6. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch, 3 sc in last ch. Turn. Sc in next 3 ch, 2 sc in last ch [12]

Ch 1, turn. Sc in next 4, inc, sc in next 5, inc [14]

Sl st, FO. Weave in ends.

Outer Ear (Light Blue):

Repeat steps for Inner Ear. Do NOT FO. Place inner ear on top of outer ear, aligning edges. Insert hook through both inner and outer ear stitches. Sc around the edges to join them, making sure the purple side faces forward. (Approx. 14 sc around).

Sl st, FO, leaving a long tail for sewing. Fold the base of the ear and sew closed slightly.

Mane (Black Yarn)

Cut several 3-inch strands of black yarn. Using a crochet hook, loop individual strands through stitches on top of Eeyore’s head, between R1-R4, to create a short mane effect. Trim to desired length.

Body (Light Blue, Red, White Yarn)

Start with Light Blue yarn.

Start with Light Blue yarn.

Stuff firmly.

Santa Hat (Red and White Yarn)

Start with Red yarn.

Hat Pompom (White Yarn)

R1: MR, 6 sc [6]

Sl st to join, FO, leaving a tail. Stuff lightly, close the hole. Sew to the tip of the Santa hat.

Green Ribbon/Bow (Green Yarn)

Ch 25.

Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across. FO. Tie the strip of crochet into a bow shape and sew it onto the front of the red sweater, just above the white trim.

Assembly

1. Sew the Snout to the Head, centered below the eyes.

2. Using black yarn, embroider small eyebrows above Eeyore’s safety eyes, as shown in the reference image.

3. Sew the Ears to the sides of the head, folding them slightly at the base.

4. Sew the Head securely to the Body.

5. Sew the Arms to the sides of the Body, around R10-11 (where the red sweater begins).

6. Sew the Legs to the bottom of the Body, ensuring they are evenly spaced.

7. Place the Santa Hat on Eeyore’s head, positioning it slightly to the side as in the image.

8. Secure the Green Ribbon/Bow to the front of the red sweater.
