Materials

• Fingering or sport weight yarn in Red, Beige, Green, and Brown
• 2.0 mm (US B/1) crochet hook
• Polyester fiberfill stuffing
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

Instructions

Step 1: The Bracelet Band (Beige)

Using Beige yarn, chain 41 (or enough chains to wrap comfortably around your wrist, leaving a small gap for ties).

Row 1: Hdc in second chain from hook and in each chain across. Turn. (40 sts)

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each stitch across. Fasten off and weave in ends.

To create the tie closure, join beige yarn to one end of the band. Ch 35, fasten off. Repeat on the other end of the band to create the second tie.

Step 2: Tiny Apples (Make 5 for the band, plus 1 for the tie closure)

Using Red yarn:

Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring. (6)

Rnd 2: [inc] x 6. (12)

Rnd 3: [sc, inc] x 6. (18)

Rnd 4-6: sc in each stitch around. (18)

Rnd 7: [sc, dec] x 6. (12)

Stuff the apple lightly with fiberfill.

Rnd 8: [dec] x 6. (6)

Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Use a yarn needle to weave the tail through the front loops of the remaining 6 stitches and pull tight to close. Thread the needle directly through the center of the apple from bottom to top, and pull slightly to create a classic indented apple shape. Secure the thread and hide the tail inside.

Step 3: Stems and Leaves

Stem (Brown): Attach brown yarn to the top center indentation of an apple. Ch 3, sl st in the second ch from hook and in the next ch. Fasten off and secure the ends inside the apple.

Leaf (Green): Attach green yarn right next to the stem. Ch 4, sl st in the second ch from hook, sc in the next ch, sl st in the last ch. Fasten off, weave in and hide ends.

Step 4: Assembly

Sew 5 completed tiny apples evenly along the top surface of the beige bracelet band. Sew the remaining 6th apple to the very end of one of the tie chains to act as a decorative weight and stopper.
