Ears (Make 2 – Black Yarn)

For each ear, you will crochet two identical flat circles and then join them together to make a sturdy ear. Total of 4 circles.

Assembly

• Position the brim on the front of the hat, centered. Using the long tail and yarn needle, sew the brim securely in place.
• Wrap the red band around the hat, just above the brim. Align the ends at the back of the hat and sew them together. Then, sew the top and bottom edges of the band to the hat to secure it.
• Sew the two yellow buttons to the front of the red band, spaced evenly and slightly off-center as shown in the image.
• Position the ears symmetrically on top of the hat crown, slightly towards the front. Using the long tails, sew them securely in place.
• Weave in all remaining loose ends.
