Materials

• Size 10 crochet thread in Royal Blue
• 1.5 mm crochet hook
• Tiny silver beads (approx. 10-12 beads)

Instructions

Step 1: The Straps and Neckline

Start by creating the top straps. Ch 18, join with a sl st to the first chain to form a circle. Ch 1 (does not count as st), work 18 sc into the ring, sl st to join. Fasten off.

To create the armholes and bust, fold the ring flat. Reattach yarn to the 4th stitch from the side. Work 1 sc in each of the next 4 sts (front bodice). Ch 4 for the sleeve, skip 3 sts, work 1 sc in each of the next 4 sts (back bodice). Ch 4, skip last 3 sts, join with sl st to first sc.

Step 2: The Bodice

Round 1: Ch 1, work 1 sc in each sc and chain stitch around (16 sc). Join with sl st.

Rounds 2-6: Ch 1, 1 sc in each st around (16 sc). Join with sl st. The bodice should look snug and narrow down to the waistline.

Step 3: The Skirt

Round 7 (Flaring out): Ch 2 (counts as first dc), 1 dc in same st, work 2 dc in each stitch around (32 dc). Join with sl st.

Round 8: Ch 2, 1 dc in next st, *2 dc in next st, 1 dc in next st* repeat around (48 dc). Join with sl st.

Round 14 (Decorative Shell Hem): Ch 1, *skip 2 sts, work (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in next st, skip 2 sts, sl st in next st* repeat from * to * around to create a beautiful scalloped edge. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Step 4: Assembly & Embellishments

Using a fine sewing needle and thread, sew tiny silver beads around the waistline of the dress. Sew a second row of beads just above the scalloped hemline, placing one bead above each shell pattern. Finally, attach the metal keychain ring to the top center neck strap of the dress.
