Crochet Pattern: Scarlet Witch Amigurumi Keychain

Materials

• DK or Worsted Weight Yarn in: Skin Tone, Dark Red, Brown, Black, White
• Crochet Hook: 2.5mm or 3.0mm (or size suitable for your yarn to achieve tight stitches)
• Safety Eyes: 6mm or 8mm Black
• Polyester Fiberfill for stuffing

Instructions

Work in continuous rounds unless otherwise specified. Use a stitch marker to keep track of the beginning of each round.

Head (Skin Tone Yarn):

R1: MR 6 sc (6)

R2: [1 inc] x 6 (12)

R3: [1 sc, 1 inc] x 6 (18)

R4: [2 sc, 1 inc] x 6 (24)

R5: [3 sc, 1 inc] x 6 (30)

R6-R10: 30 sc (5 rounds)

Insert safety eyes between R8 and R9, about 6-7 stitches apart. Embroider eyebrows (Brown yarn) above the eyes, and a small smile (Red yarn) below the eyes.

R11: [3 sc, 1 dec] x 6 (24)

R12: [2 sc, 1 dec] x 6 (18)

Start stuffing firmly with fiberfill.

Curls:

Working directly onto the edge of the wig cap (R7): For each curl, [ch 12, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, hdc in next 3 ch, dc in remaining 5 ch]. Skip 1-2 stitches on the wig cap edge and sl st into the next stitch. Repeat for 8-10 curls around the face and back. Fasten off, leave tail for sewing wig cap to head.

Headpiece (Dark Red Yarn):

Ch 16. Join with a sl st to form a ring.

R1: Ch 1, sc in each ch around (16 sc). Join with sl st.

R2-R3: Ch 1, sc in each st around (16 sc). Join with sl st.

Points: (This forms the horned details)

From R3, sl st into next 2 stitches. Ch 3, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, sl st into same stitch on R3. Skip 3 stitches. Sl st into next 2 stitches. Ch 3, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, sl st into same stitch on R3. Fasten off, leave long tail for sewing.

Body (Start with Black Yarn):

Change to Dark Red Yarn.

Sl st, fasten off. Leave tail for sewing. Do not stuff.

Legs / Boots (Make 2 – Start with Black Yarn):

R3-R4: 9 sc (2 rounds)

Change to White Yarn.

R5: 9 sc (9)

Change to Dark Red Yarn.

R6-R7: 9 sc (2 rounds)

Stuff lightly. Sl st, fasten off. Leave long tail for sewing.

Belt (Dark Red Yarn):

Ch 25 (adjust length as needed to fit around the body).

R1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (24 sc).

Fasten off, leave long tail for sewing.

Assembly:

1. Sew the head securely to the top of the body.
2. Sew the wig cap with curls onto the head, positioning the front curls around the face.
3. Position and sew the Dark Red headpiece onto the top of the head, slightly over the hair, with the points facing outwards.
4. Sew the arms to the sides of the body, just below the black neck portion.
5. Sew the legs to the bottom of the body, evenly spaced.
6. Wrap the crocheted belt around the body (around R7-R8 of the body) and sew the ends together or directly to the body.
7. Attach the keychain ring and chain securely to the very top of the head.
