Assembly
- Eyes: Determine placement for the safety eyes on the Front Panel between R18 and R21, roughly 8-10 stitches apart, ensuring they are centered on the face. Secure the safety eyes. (If using separate yellow irises, cut small yellow circles from felt and glue behind the pupils or embroider with AC3 yarn.)
- Horns: Position the horns on the top edge of the Front Panel, centered above the eyes. Sew securely in place using the tail.
- Nose & Mouth Embroidery: Using AC4 (Black) yarn and a tapestry needle, embroider a small inverted ‘V’ shape for the nose between the eyes and a curved line for a smile or slight pout below, replicating the image.
- Joining Panels: Align the Front and Back Panels with wrong sides facing. Using the long tail from the Back Panel and MC yarn, single crochet or whip stitch the panels together around the outer edge, leaving the top edge (R24) open for the bag opening. Insert a magnetic snap closure if desired.
Braided Strap
Cut 9 strands of yarn, each approximately 3 yards long (3 strands MC, 3 strands AC1, 3 strands AC2). Knot them together at one end, then braid tightly. Knot the other end. Sew each end securely to the top corners of the bag opening.
Tassels (Make 2)
Wrap MC, AC1, and AC2 yarn around a 4-inch piece of cardboard approximately 30-40 times. Tie a knot at the top, slide off cardboard, and tie another knot about half an inch down to create the head of the tassel. Trim the bottom loops. Attach one tassel to each side of the bag where the strap is attached.
