Materials

Instructions

Welcome to creating your very own Kawaii Charm Bracelet! Each charm is worked separately and then assembled onto a main bracelet chain.

Main Bracelet Chain

Using Light Pink yarn:

• Row 1: Ch 70 (or desired length for your wrist). FO, leaving a long tail for attaching the clasp.
• Attach a jewelry clasp and jump ring to each end of the chain using the long tails.

Happy Cloud Charm (Make 1)

Using White yarn:

• Row 1: Ch 7. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 4 ch, 3 sc in last ch. Continue on other side of chain: sc in next 4 st, 2 sc in last st. (14 sc)
• Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Sc in first 2 st, inc, sc in next 2 st, inc, sc in next 3 st, inc, sc in next 2 st, inc, sc in last 2 st. (18 sc)
• Row 3: Ch 1, turn. (sc in next 2 st, inc) x 6. (24 sc)
• Row 4: Ch 1, turn. Sc around, adding a few sl st randomly to create a bumpy cloud edge. FO, leaving a tail for assembly.
• Embroidery: With Black yarn/embroidery floss, embroider two small ‘v’ shapes for eyes and an upside-down ‘U’ for the mouth. With Light Pink yarn, embroider small rosy cheeks on either side of the mouth.

Rainbow with Clouds Charm (Make 1)

Rainbow Arc:

• Using Purple yarn: Ch 6. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across. (5 sc)
• Using Light Blue yarn: Ch 7. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across. (6 sc)
• Using Green yarn: Ch 8. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across. (7 sc)
• Using Yellow yarn: Ch 9. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across. (8 sc)
• Using Orange yarn: Ch 10. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across. (9 sc)
• Using Red yarn: Ch 11. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across. (10 sc)
• Carefully stack and sew the arcs together using a tapestry needle, ensuring the smallest (purple) is on top and the largest (red) is at the bottom.

Small Clouds (Make 2):

• Using White yarn: MR, sc 6. (6 sc)
• Row 1: Ch 1, turn. Inc in each st around. (12 sc)
• Row 2: Ch 1, turn. (sc in next st, inc) x 6. (18 sc)
• Row 3: Ch 1, turn. Sl st in next 3 st, (ch 2, sl st) in next 2 st, sl st in next 3 st. FO, leaving tail.
• Attach one white cloud to each end of the rainbow base with a tapestry needle.

Ice Cream Cone Charm (Make 1)

Cone:

• Using Cream yarn: Ch 4.
• Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next, dc in last ch. (3 st) FO.

Ice Cream Scoop:

• Using Light Pink yarn: MR, sc 6. (6 sc)
• Row 1: Ch 1, turn. Inc in each st around. (12 sc)
• Row 2: Ch 1, turn. (sc, inc) x 6. (18 sc)
• Switch to Mint Green yarn.
• Row 3: Ch 1, turn. Sc around. (18 sc) FO, leaving a tail.
• Sew the ice cream scoop onto the top of the cone.

Sun/Star Charm (Make 1)

Using Yellow yarn:

• Row 1: MR, sc 6. Sl st to join. (6 sc)
• Row 2: Ch 1, *(sc in next st, ch 3, sl st into 2nd ch from hook, sc in same st)*, repeat 6 times around. Sl st to join. (6 points) FO, leaving a tail.

Assembly

• Decide on the order of your charms (e.g., Ice Cream, Rainbow, Happy Cloud, Sun).
• Find the center of your main bracelet chain.
• Using the yarn tails left from FOing each charm, or small jump rings, carefully attach the charms to the bracelet chain. Space them out evenly, inserting a light blue bead between each charm. Secure the beads by threading the yarn through them and knotting.
• Weave in all remaining loose ends securely.
