Materials

• DK weight yarn in Dark Grey/Black (main color)

Tail Spikes (Make 2 Dark Blue, 1 Royal Purple)

These are small triangles to be sewn onto the tail. The image shows the blue first, then purple, then blue again at the very tip, but they are rather small. I’ll make 3 for the main part of the tail.

With desired color yarn:

Ch 2

Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook (1)

Row 2: ch 1, turn, inc (2)

Row 3: ch 1, turn, inc, sc (3)

Row 4: ch 1, turn, sc across (3)

Head Spikes (Make 3-4 small, Dark Grey/Black yarn)

R1: 4 sc in MR (4)

R2: sc around (4)

FO, leaving a tail for sewing. Do not stuff. Flatten and sew onto the head.

Assembly

1. Attach Head to Body: Using the long tail from the body, sew the head to the body securely. Ensure the head is centered.
2. Attach Legs: Position the four legs on the underside of the body. The front legs should be near the front of the body, and the back legs towards the middle/back. Sew them firmly in place.
3. Attach Wings: Sew the wings to the upper back of the body, slightly behind the head.
4. Attach Tail: Sew the tail to the back end of the body.
5. Add Tail Spikes: Sew the Dark Blue and Royal Purple tail spikes onto the top of the tail. Arrange them as seen in the image: Blue, Purple, Blue.
6. Add Head Spikes: Sew the small head spikes onto the top of the head, evenly spaced.
7. Embroider Details: Using white yarn, embroider two tiny ‘teeth’ under the mouth area of the head. Optionally, if not using green-backed safety eyes, use green yarn to embroider a thin outline around the safety eyes.
8. Final Stuffing/Shaping: Ensure all parts are firmly stuffed (except wings and head spikes). Gently shape your dragon.
