A. Avocado Flesh (Light Green Yarn)

1. Ch 6.

B. Dark Green Outer Layer (Dark Green Yarn)

1. Join Dark Green yarn to any stitch of the Light Green piece.
2. R1: (2 Sc, Inc), sc in next 3, (2 Sc, Inc) x3, sc in next 3, (2 Sc, Inc) x2. (30 sts)
3. Fasten off, weave in ends. This completes the front of your avocado.

C. Avocado Pit (Dark Brown Yarn)

1. Make a Magic Ring (MR).
2. R1: 6 sc in MR. (6 sts)
3. R2: Inc in each st around. (12 sts)
4. Sl st to join, fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing.

D. Backing Piece (Light Beige/Tan Yarn)

1. Ch 6.
2. R1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch, 3 sc in last ch. Working on other side of ch: sc in next 3 ch, 2 sc in last ch. (12 sts)

E. Assembly

1. Sew the Dark Brown pit onto the center of the Light Green avocado flesh using the tail.
2. Using black embroidery floss and a tapestry needle, embroider two small eyes and a simple smile onto the Light Green avocado flesh, above the pit.
3. Place the finished avocado front (dark green side up) and the Light Beige/Tan backing piece with their wrong sides together, aligning the edges.
4. Using the long tail from the backing piece (Light Beige/Tan yarn), sc around the entire edge, joining the two pieces. Insert a small amount of fiberfill stuffing before completely closing the final stitches to give it a slight puffiness.
5. Fasten off and weave in any remaining ends.
6. If desired, securely sew a pin back or attach a magnet to the back of your finished avocado amigurumi.
