Crochet Pattern: Rubeus Hagrid Amigurumi

Materials

Insert safety eyes between Rows 10 and 11, about 7 stitches apart. Embroider eyebrows above eyes, and a small nose between eyes using Light Beige yarn. Embroider a smile with Red yarn below the nose.

Hair & Beard (Dark Reddish-Brown)

Cut numerous strands of dark reddish-brown yarn, approximately 4-5 inches long. Using a crochet hook, loop individual strands through the stitches of the head, starting from the top center and working outwards to cover the scalp and chin/cheeks area for the beard. Use the knotting method (fold strand in half, pull loop through a stitch, pull ends through loop). Style and trim as desired to achieve the bushy Hagrid look, covering the ears area and framing the face.

Body (Olive Green, then Dark Grey/Black)

Start with Olive Green yarn.

Assembly

1. Attach Head to Body: Sew the head to the top of the body using the tail from the body.

2. Attach Arms: Sew the arms to the sides of the body, just below the neck/shoulder line, so the hands hang downwards.

3. Attach Legs: Sew the legs to the bottom of the body. Ensure they are evenly spaced for stability.

4. Details:

• Coat Collar: Using Dark Grey/Black yarn, embroider a simple collar shape around the neck opening on the body.
• Belt: Using Olive Green yarn, embroider a thin belt around the waist (around Row 12-13 of the body). Embroider a small silver/grey rectangle for the buckle in the front.
• Boot Trim: The color change on the boots creates a trim. For extra detail, you can embroider small “v” shapes with Light Beige/Cream yarn on the dark part of the boot just below the light trim, mimicking the pattern in the reference image.
