Materials

Instructions

Bra Cups (Make 2):

With Yellow yarn, ch 11. Row 1: Dc in the 4th ch from hook and in each of the next 6 chs. In the last ch, work (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc). Working down the opposite side of the chain, dc in each of the next 7 sts. Turn.

Row 2 to 6: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in each st to the ch-1 space. Work (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in the ch-1 space. Dc in each remaining st to the end. Turn. Repeat this process until your cup measures the desired size. Fasten off yellow.

Cup Border: Attach Green yarn to the bottom outer corner of the cup. Work sc evenly along the sides and top peak of the cup, placing 3 sc in the ch-1 peak space. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Bodice:

Join the two cups at the lower center front with a small slip stitch. Attach Yellow yarn to the bottom corner of the joined cups. Row 1: Work a row of sc evenly across the entire bottom edge of both cups. Turn.

Row 2 (Granny Stitch): Ch 3, 2 dc in the first st. *Skip 2 sts, 3 dc in the next st; repeat from * across, ending with 3 dc in the last st. Turn.

Row 3: Ch 3, *3 dc in the space between the previous row’s 3-dc clusters; repeat from * across, ending with 1 dc in the top of the turning chain. Turn.

Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until the bodice reaches your desired length.

Bottom Scalloped Border:

Attach Blue yarn to the bottom side corner. Row 1: Ch 1, work sc evenly across the bottom edge. Turn. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first st. *Skip 2 sts, work 7 dc in the next st, skip 2 sts, sc in next st; repeat from * across to create the blue wave pattern. Fasten off blue. Row 3: Attach Green yarn and work sc in every stitch across, following the curves of the scallops. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Straps:

Cut three long strands of yarn (one Green, one Yellow, one Blue), approximately 60 inches long. Fold them in half, secure them to the top peak of one cup, and braid them tightly together to create a durable, colorful tie strap. Knot the end and trim. Repeat for the second cup and for the back closure ties at the lower corners of the bodice.

Emblem Applique:

Using Green yarn, crochet a small shield shape by starting with ch 6, working in rows of sc while increasing in the middle to form a point, then outlining with Yellow and Blue yarn. Use white embroidery to write CBF in the center, and add small gold stitched stars above the shield. Sew this applique firmly onto the center chest of the top below the cup join.
