Hat (Make 2 – Bright Red & White)

Using White thread, make a MR.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
Rnd 2: *Sc in next st, inc* around. (9)
Rnd 3: Sc in each st around. (9)
Change to Bright Red thread.
Rnd 4: Sc in each st around. (9)
Rnd 5: Sc in each st around. (9)
Change to White thread.
Rnd 6: Sc in each st around. (9)
Rnd 7: Sc in each st around. (9)
Change to Bright Red thread.
Rnd 8: Sc in each st around. (9)
Rnd 9: (Optional, for a slightly taller hat) Sc in each st around. (9)
Sl st to next st, FO, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Create a tiny pom-pom (using white thread) and sew to the tip of the hat.

Cherries/Berries (Make 6 – Dark Red)

Using Dark Red thread, make a MR.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
Rnd 2: Inc in each st around. (12)
Rnd 3-4: Sc in each st around. (12)
Rnd 5: *Sc in next st, dec* around. (8)
Stuff lightly with fiberfill.
Rnd 6: Dec around. (4)
FO, leaving a tail. Weave tail through remaining 4 sts and pull tight to close. Weave in end.
Using White thread and a tapestry needle, embroider a small asterisk or star shape on the front of each berry.

Green Bow & Stems (Make 2 – Green)

Using Green thread.
Main Bow Piece: Ch 15. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (14 sc) Ch 1, turn. Sc in each sc across. (14 sc) FO, leaving a long tail. Wrap the tail around the center of this piece a few times to cinch it, forming a bow shape. Secure with a knot.
Leaves (2 per earring):

Ch 7. Sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next 2 ch, sc in next ch, sl st in last ch. FO, leaving a tail.
Repeat for the second leaf.
Sew the two leaves onto the back of the main bow piece.

Berry Stems (3 per earring):

Ch 5. FO, leaving a tail on both ends. Repeat two more times (3 total ch 5 pieces).
Attach one end of each ch-5 stem to the back of the main bow piece, evenly spaced.

Assembly (For each earring)

Attach the Hat to the top center of the Green Bow using the tail left from the hat. Secure firmly.
Attach each Dark Red Berry to the end of one of the Green Berry Stems. Use the tail from the berry to secure it firmly.
Attach the earring hook to the top of the hat (or a small loop created by a leftover thread on the hat’s tip).
Weave in all remaining loose ends.

Repeat all steps to create the second matching earring.
