Instructions

1. Daisy Granny Square (Make 18)

• Center (Color A – Yellow Yarn)
  Round 1: Create a MR, ch 1 (does not count as st), make 8 sc into MR. Pull tail to close MR. Join with sl st to first sc. (8 sc) FO Color A yarn.
• Petals (Color B – White Yarn)
  Round 2: Join Color B yarn with sl st into any sc from Round 1. Ch 2 (does not count as st), work 1 PS in the same sc. Ch 1. *Skip next sc, work 1 PS in next sc, ch 1.* Repeat from * 6 more times. Join with sl st to top of first PS. (8 PS, 8 ch-1 spaces) FO Color B yarn.
• Square (Color C – Natural/Light Beige Yarn)
  Round 3: Join Color C yarn with sl st into any ch-1 space between petals. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc in same ch-1 sp. (First 3-dc cluster made for a side). *In next ch-1 sp: (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) (first corner made). In next ch-1 sp: 3 dc. In next ch-1 sp: (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) (second corner made).* Repeat from * one more time. After the last corner, work 3 dc in the last ch-1 sp before your starting point. Join with sl st to top of starting ch 3. (4 corners, 4 sides with 3-dc clusters)
  Round 4: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc in same space (the ch-1 space from previous round, effectively the side). *3 dc in next ch-1 sp. (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in corner ch-2 sp.* Repeat from * around, working 3 dc clusters in any side ch-1 spaces. Join with sl st to top of starting ch 3. (4 corners, 8 side 3-dc clusters) FO Color C yarn, leaving a long tail for joining if desired.

2. Assemble the Bag

• Front and Back Panels: Lay out 9 completed daisy granny squares in a 3×3 grid for the front panel. Lay out another 9 squares in a 3×3 grid for the back panel. Using Color C yarn and a yarn needle, or a crochet hook and sl st/sc, join the squares together along their edges to form the two large panels.
• Join Panels: Place the front and back panels together, wrong sides facing. Join the two panels along the bottom and side edges using sl st or sc with Color C yarn. Leave the top edge open.

3. Create and Attach Strap

• Using Color C yarn, ch a long chain (approx. 150-180 ch, adjust for desired strap length).
  Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn.
  Row 2-4 (or more for wider strap): Sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn.
• FO, leaving a long tail.
• Attach each end of the strap to the top corners of the bag opening using a yarn needle, ensuring it’s securely sewn.
