Materials

• Sport weight cotton yarn in Red and Orange
• Embroidery floss in Black, White, and Yellow
• 2.25 mm (US B/1) crochet hook
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Yarn needle and sewing needle
• Keychain ring with chain link

Instructions

Bag Body (Red Yarn):

We will work the bag in continuous rounds, starting from the bottom foundation chain to create a seamless tube that will later be flattened and sewn.

• Row 1: Ch 16. Starting in the second chain from the hook, crochet 14 sc. Work 3 sc in the last chain to turn the corner. Continue along the opposite side of the chain: 13 sc, 1 inc in the final loop. (32 sts)
• Rounds 2-25: Sc in each stitch around. (32 sts)
• Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff the bag very lightly; it should remain relatively flat to mimic a real chip bag. Sew the bottom and top edges flat using a whip stitch. You can create a crimped texture on the top and bottom edges by slip stitching across the outer loops only.

Nacho Chips Applique (Orange Yarn – Make 2):

The chips are worked in flat rows to form a small triangle.

• Row 1: Ch 2, work 2 sc in the 2nd chain from hook, ch 1, turn. (2 sts)
• Row 2: Inc in each of the next 2 sts, ch 1, turn. (4 sts)
• Row 3: Sc in each st across. (4 sts)
• Fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew onto the bag.

Assembly & Details:

• Position the two tiny orange chips on the bottom-left front of the red bag and sew them securely in place.
• Using white embroidery floss, sew the bold ‘Doritos’ lettering across the center of the bag.
• Using black and yellow embroidery floss, outline the iconic triangular logo behind the text, and add the text ‘NACHO CHEESE’ below using white floss.
• Securely sew the keychain ring to the top corner of the chip bag.
