Materials

• Crochet thread, size 10 (or fine yarn, 2-ply) in: Soft Pink, Light Sage Green, Cream/Off-White
• Crochet hook: 1.5mm (or size appropriate for chosen thread)
• Small pearl beads (approx. 4mm) – 9 beads
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Instructions

Components:

• Small 5-Petal Flower (Make 7 in Soft Pink, 2 in Cream):
  1. Start with a Magic Ring (MR). Ch 1.
  2. (Sc in MR, Ch 2, 2 DC in MR, Ch 2, Sc in MR) 5 times. This creates 5 petals.
  3. Sl st into the first Sc to join. FO, leaving a short tail for weaving in.
  4. Using a tapestry needle, sew a pearl bead securely into the center of each flower.
• Small Leaf (Make approx. 18-20 in Light Sage Green, 1 in Cream for the central dangle):
  1. Ch 8.
  2. Sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next 2 ch, dc in next ch, hdc in next ch, sc in next ch.
  3. (Sl st, ch 1, sl st) in the very last chain space (this forms the pointy tip).
  4. Working down the other side of the foundation chain: Sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, dc in next ch, hdc in next 2 ch, sc in next ch, sl st to the very first sl st made. FO, leaving a tail of approx. 6-8 inches for attaching.

Assembly:

The necklace is assembled in a vine-like fashion. It’s easier to lay out your components and adjust as you go.

1. Begin with one Cream Flower.
2. From the side of the Cream Flower, ch 4, then sl st to the base of a Light Sage Green Leaf. Ch 4, then sl st to the side of a Soft Pink Flower. Continue this pattern.
3. Create the main vine by alternating Soft Pink Flowers and clusters of 2-3 Light Sage Green Leaves, connecting them with short chains (ch 3-5, adjust as needed for desired spacing). Follow the general layout from the image: Cream Flower, several clusters of Green Leaves + Pink Flowers, then the central dangle, then more Green Leaves + Pink Flowers, ending with a Cream Flower.
4. For the Central Dangle: From a central Soft Pink Flower, ch 8-10. Sl st to the base of the Cream Leaf. Ch 8-10 back up and sl st into the same Soft Pink Flower.
5. Once the main floral vine is assembled to your desired length and shape (ensure it’s symmetrical around the central dangle), prepare the necklace cord.
6. Necklace Cord: Using Cream/Off-White thread, ch 150-200 (or desired length to tie around the neck). FO.
7. Attach one end of the necklace cord to the first Cream Flower of your vine. Attach the other end of the necklace cord to the last Cream Flower of your vine. Securely weave in all loose ends.
