Materials

• White sport weight yarn
• Black sport weight yarn
• Red sport weight yarn
• Yellow sport weight yarn
• 2.0mm crochet hook
• Tapestry needle
• Small amount of fiberfill stuffing
• Scissors

Instructions

This pattern is worked in continuous rounds, unless otherwise stated. Use a stitch marker to keep track of the beginning of your rounds.

Shoe Body (Start with White Yarn)

• Round 1: Ch 8. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 5 sts, 3 sc in last ch. Now working on the other side of the chain: sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in last st. (16 sts)
• Round 2: Inc, sc in next 5 sts, (inc) x3, sc in next 5 sts, (inc) x2. (22 sts)
• Round 3: Sc in each st around. (22 sts)
• Round 4: Sc in each st around in BLO. (22 sts) This creates the edge of the sole.
• Rounds 5-8: Sc in each st around. (22 sts)
• Round 9: Sc in next 7 sts, (dec) x4, sc in next 7 sts. (18 sts)
• Round 10: Sc in next 6 sts, (dec) x3, sc in next 6 sts. (15 sts)
• Stuff the shoe firmly with fiberfill.
• Round 11 (Ankle Collar – Black Yarn): Join black yarn. Sc in each st around. (15 sts)
• Round 12: Sc in each st around. (15 sts) Sl st to first sc. FO, weave in ends.

Sole (Black Yarn)

• Round 1: Ch 6. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 3 sts, 3 sc in last ch. Now working on the other side of the chain: sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in last st. (14 sts)
• Round 2: Inc, sc in next 3 sts, (inc) x3, sc in next 3 sts, (inc) x2. (20 sts)
• FO, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew this black oval sole to the bottom of the white shoe body.

Studs (Black Yarn)

Using black yarn and a tapestry needle, create 6-8 small French knots or tiny embroidered bobbles evenly spaced on the black sole to represent the studs.

Stripes (Surface Crochet)

Using a tapestry needle and the respective colored yarns, surface slip stitch (or embroider a straight line) for the stripes on both sides of the shoe, starting from the back towards the toe:

• First Stripe: Use Black yarn.
• Second Stripe: Use Red yarn, placed immediately below the black stripe.
• Third Stripe: Use Yellow yarn, placed immediately below the red stripe.

Laces (White Yarn)

• Ch 30-35 (or desired length). FO.
• Weave the chain through the top white part of the shoe, crossing over like shoelaces. Tie a small bow at the top.

Embroidery (Black Yarn)

• Using black yarn and a tapestry needle, carefully embroider the word “DEUTSCHLAND” on one side of the shoe, and a small eagle silhouette on the other side, as seen in the image.

Assembly

• Attach the keychain ring to the top heel loop of the finished shoe.
