Materials

• Sport/DK weight yarn in Maroon (main color)
• Sport/DK weight yarn in White (contrast color)
• 2.0mm or 2.25mm crochet hook (or size suitable for your yarn to achieve a tight fabric)
• Small amount of fiberfill for stuffing
• Yarn needle
• Scissors
• Keyring or keychain hardware

Instructions

Sole (Maroon yarn)

• Rnd 1: Ch 8. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 5 ch, 3 sc in last ch. Working on the other side of the chain, sc in next 5 ch, 2 sc in last ch. (16 sts)
• Rnd 2: Inc, sc in next 5 sts, inc x3, sc in next 5 sts, inc x2. (22 sts)
• Rnd 3: Sc in each st around. (22 sts)
• Sl st to first sc. FO, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Boot Upper (Maroon yarn)

• Rnd 4: Holding the sole with the right side facing up, join maroon yarn to any stitch on Rnd 3. Working in BLO of Rnd 3, sc in each st around. (22 sts)
• Rnd 5: Sc in each st around. (22 sts)
• Rnd 6: Sc in next 7 sts, (dec) x4, sc in next 7 sts. (18 sts)
• Rnd 7: Sc in next 6 sts, (dec) x3, sc in next 6 sts. (15 sts)
• Rnd 8: Sc in next 5 sts, (dec) x2, sc in next 6 sts. (13 sts)
• Stuff the boot lightly as you go.
• Rnd 9: Sc in next 4 sts, dec, sc in next 7 sts. (12 sts)
• Rnd 10: Sc in each st around. (12 sts)
• Do not FO. Continue to Tongue.

Tongue (Maroon yarn)

• From where you left off at Rnd 10, ch 1, turn. Sc in next 4 sts. (4 sts)
• Ch 1, turn. Sc in next 4 sts. (4 sts) (Repeat for 2 more rows, total 4 rows)
• FO, weave in ends.

Laces Trim (White yarn)

• Join white yarn to the front upper edge of the boot, on one side of the tongue opening.
• Ch 1. Sc evenly along the entire opening edge of the boot, including around the tongue. (Approx. 20-24 sc, adjust as needed for a neat edge)
• Sl st to first sc. FO, weave in ends.

Boot Studs (Make 6 in Maroon yarn)

• In a MR, sc 6.
• Pull ring tight. Sl st to first sc. FO, leaving a short tail.
• Flatten each stud and sew them evenly onto the bottom of the sole.

Laces (White yarn)

• Cut two lengths of white yarn, about 6 inches each.
• Using your yarn needle, thread one piece of yarn through the boot upper, creating two ‘X’ shapes on each side of the tongue, resembling laces. Knot on the inside and trim excess.
• Repeat with the second piece of yarn for the other set of laces.

Embroidery (White and Maroon yarn)

• Using white yarn, embroider ‘QATAR’ on the side of the boot, above the sole.
• Using white and maroon yarn, embroider a small Qatar flag below the text (two vertical white bars, then a maroon section).

Finishing

• Attach the keyring hardware to the top back of the boot.
• Weave in all remaining loose ends securely.
