Materials

Instructions

This pattern is worked in continuous rounds unless otherwise stated. Use a stitch marker to keep track of your rounds.

Part 1: Sole (Royal Blue Yarn)

• Ch 8
• Rnd 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 5 ch, 3 sc in last ch. Continue on other side of chain: sc in next 5 ch, 2 sc in last ch. (16 sts)
• Rnd 2: Inc, sc in next 5, (inc)x3, sc in next 5, (inc)x2. (24 sts)
• Rnd 3: Sc around. (24 sts)
• Rnd 4: BLO sc around. (24 sts) – This creates a neat edge for the upper. Sl st to join and FO, weaving in tail.

Part 2: Shoe Upper (White Yarn)

• Join white yarn to the back center stitch of Rnd 4 of the sole.
• Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc around. (24 sts)
• Rnd 6-8: Sc around. (24 sts)
• Rnd 9: Sc 7, dec, sc 6, dec, sc 7. (22 sts)
• Rnd 10: Sc 6, dec, sc 5, dec, sc 7. (20 sts)
• Rnd 11: Sc 5, dec, sc 4, dec, sc 7. (18 sts)
• Lightly stuff the toe area.
• Row 12: Ch 1, turn. Sc in next 10 sts. (10 sts) (This forms the front part of the shoe opening)
• Row 13-14: Ch 1, turn. Sc in next 10 sts. (10 sts) FO white yarn.

Part 3: Heel Piece (Royal Blue Yarn)

• Attach royal blue yarn to the first unworked stitch from Rnd 11 after the Row 12 section (the back opening).
• Row 1: Ch 1, sc in next 8 sts. (8 sts) (This covers the remaining back part of the opening)
• Row 2-3: Ch 1, turn. Sc in next 8 sts. (8 sts) FO royal blue yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Part 4: Assembly and Detailing

• Stuffing: Fully stuff the cleat with polyester fiberfill, ensuring a firm shape.
• Ankle Edging: Using royal blue yarn, sl st or sc neatly around the entire top opening of the shoe (around the white and blue sections) to create a finished collar. Join with a sl st and weave in ends.
• Side Stripes (Red & Royal Blue): With a yarn needle and red yarn, embroider a stripe along the bottom edge of the white upper, right above the sole. Then, using royal blue yarn, embroider another stripe above the red one, following the contours of the shoe, as seen in the image.
