Vest (Royal Blue yarn):

This vest is worked in rows and then sewn onto the body.

Vest Trim (Yellow yarn):

• Attach yellow yarn to one corner of the crocheted rectangle. Sc evenly around all four edges of the rectangle to create a border. When you reach the corners, work (sc, ch 1, sc) in the corner stitch to make it sharper. Join with a sl st to the first sc. FO, weave in ends.

Assembly:

• Sew the Mushroom Cap onto the top of the Head, ensuring it’s centered and secure.
• Sew the three Red Cap Spots onto the White Mushroom Cap, arranging them evenly as seen in the image.
• Sew the Arms to the sides of the Body, slightly below the “neck” area.
• Sew the Feet to the bottom of the Body.
• Wrap the Royal Blue rectangle (Vest) around Toad’s body, with the yellow-trimmed edges facing front. Overlap the front edges slightly if desired, or leave a small gap. Stitch the vest securely to the body around the top and side seams. You can gently fold back the top front corners to create a lapel effect and stitch them in place.
• If desired, use black embroidery floss to stitch a small ‘V’ or ‘U’ shape for a mouth below the eyes.
• Weave in all remaining loose ends.
