Materials

• Red DK weight yarn
• White DK weight yarn
• Small amount of black embroidery floss (optional, for flag outline)
• 2.0mm crochet hook

Instructions

Part 1: Sole (Red Yarn)

• Ch 10.
• Rnd 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 7 ch, 4 sc in last ch. Working on other side of ch: sc in next 7 ch, 2 sc in last ch. (22 sts)
• Rnd 2: Inc, sc in next 7, inc x 4, sc in next 7, inc x 2. (30 sts)
• Rnd 3: Sc around in BLO. (30 sts) FO Red yarn.

Part 2: Shoe Body (White Yarn)

• Attach White yarn to any FLO stitch from Rnd 2 of the sole.
• Rnd 4: Sc around in FLO of Rnd 2. (30 sts)
• Rnd 5-6: Sc around. (30 sts)
• Rnd 7: Sc in next 7, dec x 3, sc in next 11, dec x 3, sc in next 3. (24 sts)
• Rnd 8: Sc in next 6, dec x 2, sc in next 9, dec x 2, sc in next 3. (20 sts)
• Rnd 9: Sc in next 6, dec, sc in next 8, dec, sc in next 2. (18 sts)
• Rnd 10: Sc in next 5, dec, sc in next 7, dec, sc in next 2. (16 sts) Start stuffing lightly as you go.
• Rnd 11: Sc in next 4, dec, sc in next 6, dec, sc in next 2. (14 sts)

• FO White yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Part 3: Ankle & Lace Trim (Red Yarn)

• Attach Red yarn to the front opening edge of the shoe. Work sc evenly around the front and top edge of the shoe, creating a finished border. Sl st to join, FO.

Part 4: Laces (White Yarn)

• Cut a length of white yarn. Using a tapestry needle, thread it through the front opening of the white section in a criss-cross pattern to resemble shoelaces, as shown in the image. Secure the ends inside the shoe.

Part 5: Sole Studs (Red Yarn)

• With Red yarn and tapestry needle, embroider small French knots or tiny stitches evenly spaced on the sole of the boot to create the "studs".

Part 6: Embroidery (Red & Black Embroidery Floss)

• Using red embroidery floss, embroider the word "TÜRKIYE" on the side of the white boot.
• Using red and optionally a tiny bit of black embroidery floss for outlining, embroider the Turkish flag (white crescent and star on a red rectangular background) on the other side of the boot, near the ankle opening.

Part 7: Assembly

• Weave in all remaining loose ends.
• Ensure the boot is firmly stuffed.
