Crochet Pattern: Amigurumi Venom Keychain

Materials

• Worsted weight yarn in Black (main color)

Tongue (Red yarn):

Ch 15.

R1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 13 ch. (14 sc)

R2: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each of 14 sc. (14 sc)

FO, leaving a long tail for sewing. Gently shape by hand to give it a curled appearance.

Mouth Interior (Red yarn):

Ch 10.

R1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 7 ch, 3 sc in last ch. Continue on other side of chain: sc in next 7 ch, 2 sc in last ch. (20 sc)

Sl st to first sc. FO, leave a long tail for sewing. This creates an oval base for the mouth.

Eyes (White yarn, make 2):

Ch 5.

R1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, 3 sc in last ch. Continue on other side of chain: sc in next 2 ch, 2 sc in last ch. (10 sc)

Sl st to join, FO, leave a tail for sewing. Flatten these pieces and shape them to resemble Venom’s characteristic eye shape when sewing onto the head. Alternatively, cut the eye shapes from white felt and glue/sew them on, or embroider the eyes directly.

Teeth (White yarn):

Using a yarn needle and white yarn, embroider jagged teeth lines along the top and bottom edges of the red mouth interior after it has been sewn onto the head.

Assembly:

1. Sew the Body to the bottom of the Head, ensuring the opening is centered.

2. Sew the Arms to the sides of the Body, slightly below the “neck” area.

3. Sew the Legs to the bottom of the Body, spaced apart.

4. Position and sew the red Mouth Interior oval onto the head, creating the open mouth.

5. Embroider the white jagged Teeth onto the top and bottom edges of the red mouth opening.

6. Position the white Eyes above the mouth on the head and sew them securely. Adjust their shape as needed to match Venom’s look.

7. Sew the Tongue to the inside bottom edge of the red mouth, allowing it to hang out and curl as desired.

8. Attach the keychain ring to the top center of the head.

Weave in all remaining loose ends securely. Your Amigurumi Venom Keychain is now complete!
