Instructions

This pattern creates individual motifs which are then assembled into the necklace. Work tightly to achieve a delicate, lace-like finish. We recommend making several motifs of each type in various colors to allow for flexible arrangement during assembly.

Motif A: Large Central Flower (Make 1)

• Center Base (Lavender): Create a Magic Ring (MR). Ch 1, 8 sc into MR, sl st to first sc. (8 sts)
• Petal Layer 1 (Lavender): Ch 1, (sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc) in first sc. *Sl st in next sc, (sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc) in next sc.* Repeat * to * 3 more times. (Total 5 petals). Sl st to first sl st.
• Petal Layer 2 (Pale Yellow Edging): Join Pale Yellow thread with a sl st to the center dc of any Lavender petal from Layer 1. *Ch 3, sl st into the space between the current petal and the next. Ch 3, sl st into the center dc of the next Lavender petal.* Repeat * to * 4 more times around the flower. Sl st to first sl st. Fasten off Pale Yellow.
• Outer Layer (Mint Green Picot Edging): Join Mint Green thread with a sl st into any ch-3 loop from Layer 2. *(Ch 1, sc in loop, picot, sc in loop, ch 1, sl st in next ch-3 loop)* Repeat around. Fasten off Mint Green.

• Point & Other Side: Ch 2, then work along the other side of the starting chain: sc in first st, hdc in next ch, dc in next 5 ch, hdc in next ch, sc in last ch. Sl st to first sc to join. Fasten off.

Motif D: Tiny Connecting Ring/Scallop (Make 8-10 total in Mint Green, Pale Yellow)

• Using desired color thread. Ch 5, sl st to form a ring.
• Ch 1, 5 sc into ring, sl st to first sc.
• *[Ch 3, sl st in next sc]* Repeat * to * 5 times. Fasten off.

Assembly

Lay out all your crocheted motifs on a flat surface, arranging them to create the necklace design seen in the image. The Large Central Flower (Motif A) should be placed at the bottom center. Arrange the smaller flowers (Motif B) and leaves (Motif C) symmetrically on either side, building outwards and upwards towards where the clasp will attach. Vary the colors and positions for a natural, organic look.

• Using a fine yarn needle and matching sewing thread (or clear monofilament for invisible joins), carefully stitch the motifs together at multiple contact points. Ensure all joins are secure but not bulky.
• Integrate the Tiny Connecting Rings (Motif D) to fill small gaps between larger motifs and create a delicate, continuous lace effect. Stitch them securely in place.
• Once the main body of the necklace is assembled to your desired length and shape, attach a small jump ring to the uppermost motifs on each end of the necklace.
• Attach one side of your jewelry clasp (e.g., lobster claw) to one jump ring and the other side of the clasp to the other jump ring or a short length of chain for adjustability.
