Materials

Crochet thread or fine fingering weight yarn in Red (Color A)
Crochet thread or fine fingering weight yarn in Light Pink (Color B)

Crochet the Hearts

With Color A or B, make a MR.
Rnd 1: Ch 2 (does not count as st), [3 dc, 3 hdc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 3 hdc, 3 dc, ch 2, sl st] into the MR.
Pull MR tight to close. Fasten off, leaving a short tail for weaving.

Medium Hearts (Make 2 in Red)

With Color A, make a MR.
Rnd 1: Ch 2 (does not count as st), [4 dc, 3 hdc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 3 hdc, 4 dc, ch 2, sl st] into the MR.
Pull MR tight to close. Fasten off, leaving a short tail for weaving.

Large Central Heart (Make 1 in Red)

With Color A, make a MR.
Rnd 1: Ch 3 (does not count as st), [3 tr, 3 dc, 3 hdc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 3 hdc, 3 dc, 3 tr, ch 3, sl st] into the MR.
Pull MR tight to close. Fasten off, leaving a short tail for weaving.

White Central Motif (for Large Heart)

With Color C, make a MR.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, 8 sc into MR. Sl st to first sc. (8 sc)
Rnd 2: *Ch 3, sl st into next sc.* Repeat from * 7 times. You will have 8 small ‘points’. Sl st to join. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Carefully sew the White Central Motif onto the center of the Large Central Heart using the long tail.

Assembly

1. Prepare Hearts and Beads:

Open a jump ring with pliers and attach one to the top center of each heart. Close the jump ring.
For hearts needing pearl drops (as shown on the Large, Medium, and 2 Small Red, 2 Small Pink hearts): Attach a small pearl bead to a headpin. Create a loop at the top with round nose pliers. Attach this pearl drop to the bottom tip of the chosen hearts using another jump ring, or by attaching the headpin loop directly to the crochet fabric.
Attach a red bead to a headpin, create a loop, and attach it to the bottom tip of the Large Central Heart.

2. Assemble the Decorative Front Section:

Start with the Large Central Red Heart (with white motif and red bead drop).
Attach one Medium Red Heart (with pearl drop) to each side of the Large Central Heart using jump rings.
Attach one Small Pink Heart (with pearl drop) to the outer side of each Medium Red Heart using jump rings.

3. Create the Necklace Chains (Sides):

Each side chain will consist of 4 small crocheted hearts and 2 sections of strung red beads.

Repeat the sequence for Side 1, mirroring the order: Small Red Heart (no pearl), Small Pink Heart (no pearl), Small Red Heart (no pearl), Small Pink Heart (no pearl).
String approximately 1.5 – 2 inches of red beads onto jewelry wire or strong beading thread. Create a small loop at each end. Attach one end to the last Small Pink Heart with a jump ring.
Attach the other half of the clasp to the other end of the beaded section with a jump ring.
