Cute Bee Amigurumi Keychain

Skill Level: Beginner
Finished Size: ~5 cm (excluding keyring)
Techniques Used: Magic ring, single crochet, color change, increase, decrease, embroidery.

Materials Needed

• DK or sport weight cotton yarn in:
  • Yellow (body)
  • Black (stripes and face)
  • White (wings)
• 2.0–2.5 mm crochet hook
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch marker
• Keyring and jump ring (optional)
• Scissors
• Black embroidery thread or 6 mm safety eyes

• MR – Magic Ring
• sc – single crochet
• inc – increase (2 sc in one stitch)
• dec – decrease

• sl st – slip stitch
• FO – fasten off

BODY (Start with Yellow)

Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
Rnd 2: inc around (12)
Rnd 3: (1 sc, inc) x6 (18)
Rnd 4–5: sc around (18)
Switch to Black
Rnd 6–7: sc around (18)
Switch to Yellow
Rnd 8–9: sc around (18)
Switch to Black
Rnd 10: sc around (18)
Rnd 11: (1 sc, dec) x6 (12)
Stuff the body firmly
Rnd 12: dec around (6)
FO, close and weave in end.

WINGS (Make 2 – White)

Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
Rnd 2: (1 sc, inc) x3 (9)
Rnd 3: sc around (9)
FO, leave tail for sewing. Flatten and sew both wings symmetrically on top of the body.

FACE

• Option 1: Insert 6 mm safety eyes between Rnds 4 and 5, about 4–5 stitches apart.
• Option 2: Embroider eyes with black thread and a smiling mouth just below.

Add pink cheeks with blush or small bits of pink felt if desired.

KEYCHAIN LOOP (Optional)

Using yellow or black yarn:

• Ch 10, sl st to the top of the bee, FO and weave in the ends.
• Alternatively, attach a metal jump ring and keyring through the top stitches.

Assembly

1. Sew the wings evenly on top.
2. Attach eyes and embroider the smile.
3. Add the keyring loop if using.
