Crochet Pattern: Delicate Crochet Wild Strawberry Flower Ring Pattern

Materials

• Crochet thread, size 10 (white, yellow, green)
• 1.5mm crochet hook
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Abbreviations

• ch – chain
• sl st – slip stitch
• sc – single crochet
• hdc – half double crochet
• dc – double crochet
• MR – magic ring (adjustable ring)
• st(s) – stitch(es)

Instructions

Flower Center (Yellow Yarn)

• Start with a MR.
• Ch 1, 5 sc into MR. Pull ring closed.
• Sl st to first sc to join. Fasten off yellow yarn.

Petals (White Yarn)

• Attach white yarn to any sc of the flower center.
• For each petal: (Ch 2, 2 dc in the same sc, ch 2, sl st in the same sc).
• Repeat for all 5 sc around the yellow center. You will have 5 petals.
• Sl st into the first st of the first petal to finish. Fasten off white yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Leaves (Green Yarn – Make 3)

• Ch 5.
• Starting in the 2nd ch from hook: sl st in 2nd ch, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in the last ch (this forms the point).
• Now work along the other side of the initial chain: hdc in next, sc in next, sl st in last st.
• Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Ring Band (Green Yarn)

• Ch 50 (or adjust chain length to fit comfortably around your finger).
• Sl st into the first ch to form a loop, being careful not to twist the chain.
• Ch 1, sc in each ch around the loop (50 sc).
• Sl st to the first sc to join. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Assembly

• Carefully arrange the three green leaves behind the white flower. The leaves should fan out slightly.
• Using the tails from the leaves and flower, securely sew the leaves together and then attach them to the back of the flower.
• Once the flower and leaves are assembled, position them centered on the crocheted ring band.
• Using the remaining tail from the flower (or a new piece of green yarn), sew the flower and leaf cluster firmly onto the ring band. Weave in all loose ends.
