Crochet Pattern: Holiday Mr. Krabs Amigurumi

Materials

• Worsted weight yarn in: Red (main body, claws, legs, hat), Light Green (eye stalks), White/Cream (shirt, hat brim, sack rim), Light Blue/Purple (pants), Dark Green (scarf), Black (belt, mouth embroidery, eyes), Yellow (buckle), Brown (sack, antler detail), Assorted Bright Colors (presents).

Work in continuous rounds.

Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR [6]

Rnd 2: (inc) x 6 [12]

Rnd 3: (sc, inc) x 6 [18]

Rnd 4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 [24]

Rnd 5: (3 sc, inc) x 6 [30]

Rnd 6: (4 sc, inc) x 6 [36]

Rnd 7-12: sc in each st around (6 rounds) [36]

Rnd 13: (4 sc, dec) x 6 [30]

Rnd 14: (3 sc, dec) x 6 [24]

Start stuffing firmly. Continue to stuff as you go.

Rnd 15: (2 sc, dec) x 6 [18]

FO, leaving a long tail. Weave tail through FLO of remaining 6 stitches and pull tight to close. Hide tail.

Using black yarn, embroider a wide smiling mouth on Rnds 10-12. Using white yarn, embroider two square teeth in the mouth. Using pink yarn (optional, or use red), embroider a tongue inside the mouth.

Eye Stalks (Light Green yarn) (Make 2):

Work in continuous rounds.

Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR [6]

Rnd 2: (sc, inc) x 3 [9]

Rnd 3-8: sc in each st around (6 rounds) [9]

Insert 6mm safety eyes between Rnd 6 and 7, centered. Stuff lightly.

Rnd 9: (sc, dec) x 3 [6]

FO, leaving a long tail for sewing. Do not close the end tightly, keep it slightly open for attaching. On one eye stalk, embroider a small brown “antler” or twig-like detail on top.

Santa Hat (Red and White yarn):

With red yarn, work in continuous rounds.

Rnd 1: 4 sc in MR [4]

Rnd 2: (sc, inc) x 2 [6]

Rnd 3: sc in each st around [6]

Pants (Light Blue/Purple yarn):

**Pincer 1:**

Rnd 6: sc in first 6 st, leave remaining 6 unworked [6]

sl st, FO. Stuff lightly.

**Pincer 2:**

Join red yarn to the next unworked stitch from Rnd 5.

Rnd 6: sc in 6 st [6]

Rnd 7-8: sc in each st around [6]

sl st, FO, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff lightly. Shape the pincers by bending and securing slightly.

Legs (Red yarn) (Make 4):

Work in continuous rounds.

Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR [6]

Rnd 2: sc in each st around [6]

FO, leaving a tail for sewing. Do not stuff.

Scarf (Dark Green yarn):

Ch 4, starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch [3]

Ch 1, turn. sc in each st across [3]

Repeat this row until scarf reaches desired length (approx. 25-30 rows or until it wraps around the body with ends hanging). FO. Add small fringe to both ends using dark green yarn.

Present Sack (Brown and White/Cream yarn):

With brown yarn, work in continuous rounds.

Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR [6]

Rnd 2: (inc) x 6 [12]

Rnd 3: (sc, inc) x 6 [18]

Rnd 4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 [24]

Rnd 5-9: sc in each st around (5 rounds) [24]

Change to white/cream yarn.

Rnd 10: sc in each st around [24]

sl st, FO, leaving a tail. Using the tail, create a small handle or drawstring look for the sack opening.

Presents (Assorted Bright Colors) (Make several):

With chosen color yarn, work in continuous rounds.

Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR [6]

Rnd 2: (inc) x 6 [12]

Rnd 3: sc in each st around [12]

Rnd 4: (dec) x 6 [6]

Stuff lightly. FO, weave tail through FLO of remaining 6 stitches and pull tight to close. Hide tail. Optionally, embroider tiny “ribbons” or bows with contrasting yarn.

Assembly:

• Sew the Mr. Krabs Body to the top of the Shirt.
• Sew the Shirt to the top of the Pants. Stuff the combined body firmly.
• Sew the Eye Stalks to the top of the Mr. Krabs Body, near the back.
• Sew the Santa Hat onto one of the Eye Stalks.
• Sew the Claws to the sides of the Shirt.
• Sew the four Legs to the bottom of the Pants, evenly spaced.
• Wrap the Scarf around Mr. Krabs’ neck/body and secure with a few stitches.
• Place the finished Presents inside the Present Sack.
• Sew or position the Present Sack so it appears to be held by one of Mr. Krabs’ claws or standing next to him.
• Weave in all remaining loose ends.
