Materials

• Embroidery floss or Size 10 crochet thread in Dark Green, Light Green, and Brown

Instructions

Step 1: The Pit (Make 5)

Using brown thread:

1. Start with a Magic Ring (MR), work 5 sc into the ring. Join with a sl st to the first sc. Fasten off, leaving a short tail for sewing.

Step 2: The Flesh (Make 5)

Using light green thread:

1. Ch 5. Starting in the 2nd ch from the hook, work 1 sc, 1 hdc in the next, 1 dc in the next, and 5 dc in the last ch. Working along the opposite side of the chain: 1 dc in the next, 1 hdc in the next, and 1 sc in the last chain space. Join with a sl st to the first sc.

2. Ch 1. Work 2 sc in the first st, 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, 2 hdc in each of the next 3 sts, 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, and 2 sc in the last st. Join with a sl st to the first st. Fasten off.

3. Position the brown pit on the wider bottom section of the light green flesh. Sew it securely in place using your tapestry needle.

Step 3: The Skin (Make 5)

Join dark green thread to any stitch at the top of the light green flesh:

1. Ch 1. Work 1 sc in each stitch around the flesh piece. To keep the bottom curve flat and smooth, work 3 sc into the center-bottom stitch. Join with a sl st to the first sc.

2. To create the stem: Ch 3, sl st in the 2nd ch from hook, sl st in the next ch, and sl st back into the top of the avocado. Fasten off and weave in all loose ends.

Step 4: Creating the Bracelet Cord

1. Cut three 15-inch strands of thread (one of each color: Dark Green, Light Green, and Brown).

2. Knot them together at one end, leaving about 2 inches for a tassel. Braid the threads tightly together until you reach the desired bracelet length (approx. 6-7 inches), then knot the other end, leaving another 2-inch tassel.

3. Arrange your 5 finished avocados evenly along the braided cord. Using dark green thread, sew the back of each avocado securely to the braid, ensuring they all face the same direction.
